Yes, I did!

So I've voted this morning. That was exhausting, I came back home and slept away most of the day and now that I'm up, I can't stop watching the TV, listening to what's going on.

Some of the stuff I'm hearing is fascinating and I'm sorry they've waited for the very day of elections to show some of these discussion. For example: can a woman who isn't especially feministic represent feminist progress simply by being elected as the primeminister of Israel? Why aren't Israeli Arabs using their full influence in the elections when - if they ALL voted - they could have up to 24 representatives in the Israeli parliament? How come, though there are religious Jews who are left wingers, they are all thought to be linked with the right wing? And so on... Oh, and there's the archive footage of some interesting moments in Israeli politics. Quite fascinating, did I mention that? Seeing Shimon Peres young and Yitzhak Rabin alive is odd and rather educating.

Pet peeve: I wish everyone would stop stealing Obama's "Yes, we can" line. And I mean politicians and reporters alike. It's not smart, not funny and we all know who really came up with it. GRRR.

This is so unhealthy, watching the elections so closely. Keep your fingers crossed for my country, though? I am. I'm hoping that good people who will lead us well will be elected.

Unrelated, but if I were I gay man, I would want to marry this guy.
