(no subject)
...Wow I'm full. This has actually been a very satisfying Thanksgiving. Mom just got diagnosed with inflammatory arthiritis, and has been rather less mobile than usual lately, but we had already committed to hosting Thanksgiving this year so my sister and I did most of the work so that all Mom needed to worry about was not burning stuff (which she never does).
Since leaving school yesterday morning I have:
-Braved the Fremont PCC parking garage (got slightly stuck... damn SUV)in order to pick up the turkey.
-Cleaned the kitchen multiple times
-Baked five pies, 2 pumpkin, one each of pecan, cherry and apple. All tasty. Many leftovers.
-Ironed three tableclothes and 16 napkins
-Wrestled with slipcovers. Won.
-Got chewed on by kitten who wanted to play with slipcovers while I was wrestling them. Sort of won...
-Trimmed Brussel sprouts
-Mashed taters.
-Entertained relatives from both sides of family.
-Eaten far too much
-Racked up points with my elders. Always good.
Soon I shall sleep and maybe think about leaving the house tomorrow.
