Never letting you go Chapter 4 Part Two

Part Two

Hyukjae sat on a bench close to the small market and pressed his lightly packed bag to his chest with one hand and the other hand held onto his cell phone to his ear.

"This doesn't feel right. I've made you go a really long way, and you're the one driving too! You shouldn't have."

Jungsu chuckled on the other end of the line saying it's okay. "It's because I'm such a nice person I do this." Hyukjae smiled at the other's childishness. "I'll be there with you in... about ten minutes, so wait for me." The blonde nodded and hung up. His thoughts slowly started to fill up with Donghae which made his cheek flush for some odd reason. He felt really bad for leaving just like that - but maybe Donghae was happy to not having to have him around and just be troublesome. He even left the clothes Donghae had bought him because he felt even worse if he would just take them with, because he hadn't paid for them yet.

The reason for leaving wasn't only because he felt troublesome; also he had been feeling weird the last couple of days. Usually he hadn't had any problem with Donghae being close to him- except from the first days of his stay- but lately, his heart would start to bounce in his chest when Donghae got too close, when he smiled or when he would pat his head affectionately.

He got the weird thought that it was his body giving him a sign that Donghae was too close and might even be a danger, but he trusted Donghae a lot so he discarded that idea. At least a little.

Hyukjae took up the cell phone he had received from Donghae the previous day and smiled at the background pictures containing a swim of orange fishes, which Donghae had chosen for him.

After all, if Donghae would have missed him, shouldn’t he have called him by now? Hyukjae sighed and turned off the device because the battery was turning low, and shoved it down in his backpack. Still, Jungsu were nowhere to be seen.

"Hey, it's Eunhyuk-ah, right?” Hyukjae jumped in his seat, because he hadn’t seen that familiar person coming closer to him. “We met at the photo shoot Donghae did for me, remember?" Siwon's handsome smile widened when finally recognizing the boy after have secretly been staring across the street for a while, and walked closer to Hyukjae. The blonde scooted away hastily when Siwon tried to sit down next to him so there would be a small distance. Siwon frowned and felt almost a bit upset because this kid seemed to have a problem with him.

"Why are you like this? You always take distance from me as is I'm about to hit you. I'm not going to hurt you so please acting like I am. I just want to talk with you."

Hyukjae didn't even look Siwon's way. The urge of yelling at Siwon was very tempting, but since the man didn't know anything he felt it was useless to do so. Ignoring Siwon (even though he was sitting right to his left) would be his plan for now until Jungsu comes to pick him up, only if Siwon hadn't held his arm.
"Are you listening?” Siwon looked straight into Hyukjae’s eyes. “I don't want to be rude, but you're quite rude yourself when you're like this to me." He actually looked hurt. Siwon was a nice and honest person, but he couldn't stand when people were rude towards him without a reason. Hyukjae flinched at the touch - it was actually painful.

"Please Siwon-sshi, it hurts..."

Siwon loosed his grip to a soft one but still not letting go. "I'm sorry. I just wanted to know why you are like this. Do you dislike me for anything?"

Hyukjae was scared. Was Siwon angry with him now because he didn't dare to be honest? Would Siwon start hurting him now? He didn't know.

"I don't want to talk... Please let me go." He said, straining so his voice wouldn't crack up.

"Hey, hey, hey! What are you doing?!" Hyukjae felt relieved at the familiar voice and when Siwon removed his hand to look over to the new comer, Hyukjae flew up and run over to hide behind the other's back.

"Are you okay?" Jungsu asked worriedly and put an arm around Hyukjae's thin shoulders. The blonde nodded and glanced over at Siwon, feeling a bit guilty for the sad look on his face. Donghae had said that Siwon was really a nice and gentle person, so he put the trust Donghae had for him as a reason why Siwon wouldn’t think of hurting him.

"Were you trying to do something weird to Eunhyuk just now? If you did, I swear I will - huh?" Jungsu paused and turned questioning to Hyukjae who clenched his arm - it actually hurt a bit - and shook his head.

"He didn't do anything hyung."

Jungsu's expression softened and turned to Siwon with a small apologetic bow. Siwon waved his hand a little as a sign to not apologize.

"Donghae hyung said you were just a little bit nervous around people, but" Siwon looked back and forth at the couple standing close to each other. "it seems like you're fine with everyone except me. I just wanted to know why, because I thought you seemed a bit interesting. But I won't force you to like me, so I do apologize."

Siwon stood up and made a small bow.

“I’m sorry too, Siwon-sshi.” The model seemed quite surprised but then smiled once again and started walking away.

~*~

“That Siwon guy said you get nervous around people. Is that true?” The two of them had sat down at the bench again after Jungsu had offered to go and buy drinks.

“Well, it’s something like that…” Hyukjae sipped on the strawberry milk he had received and tried to enjoy the little bit of the autumn sun.

“Wow, should I feel special then? You were rather open towards me the first time we met. A little quiet maybe.”

“Don’t think too highly of yourself.” Hyukjae said with a teasing smile. “You looked only a bit older than me, so I couldn’t find you very intimidating. Plus you look kind of stupid.”

“Hey!” Jungsu gently punched Hyukjae’s arm. “I didn’t think you had an evil side like this. Only fifteen minutes ago you were hiding behind my back from a not so scary guy.

“So does that mean you’re like scared of people who’s much older than yourself? Like, old-people-phobia?”

The weird non-existing word made Hyukjae chuckle lightly.

“I’ve been in bed terms with my father.” His voice came out weakly. “He gave me the impression of all adults being evil. I can’t help but to feel scared.”

“He…” Jungsu hesitated a bit before speaking, because he knew it could be a sensitive topic if it was true. “He wasn’t like, abusive towards you right?”

He didn’t get a proper yes or no, but the answer was still clear when he saw Hyukjae started crying carefully. The older male invited the boy for a hug, and Hyukjae leaned forward so he could be embraced by his friend.

Now he understood why Hyukjae had wanted to get help to get away from his home. He was even hurt the first time they met, but Jungsu never thought the boy’s situation was that serious. He had only thought the other was a little rebellious and wanted to go against his parents a little. That’s why Hyukjae had told him his life had been saved and traveled far away from Seoul.

“Don’t worry, Hyukjae.” Said Jungsu firmly as he patted the boy’s back. “It’s over now, right? You’re far away from him.”

A car pulled up from the street, and next second a man emerged from the driver’s seat.

"Eunhyuk!" The said boy was startled when hearing the familiar voice, and the person running out from his car parked right behind Jungsu's. Donghae strode towards the couple and Hyukjae started to feel almost embarrassed. He had gathered so much courage just to write that letter to Donghae - also leaving without a proper goodbye. Now the man was walking his direction and he didn't really look amused. Hyukjae nervously stood up from the bench - Jungsu followed suit - and clenched at the hem of his shirt. Donghae didn't say anything and just looked at Hyukjae's bent down head.

"Look at me." Donghae finally spoke. His voice didn't have that usual softness in it which made the boy the slightest scared and he unconsciously leaned closer to Jungsu, still not looking up. The brunette changed his gaze to the person with Hyukjae who looked beyond confused by this scene. "May I ask who you are?"

"I'm Hyukj- ehm... Eunhyuk's," Jungsu wasn't sure what to call the boy anymore. "I'm his friend. My name is Park Jungsu." He bowed politely towards Donghae whose expression softened and he let out his breath. A small, slightly strained, smile occurred on his lips again.

"Right, Jungsu-ah. Eunhyuk has told me about you. I'm Lee Donghae." The man returned a small bow at Jungsu's direction.

"Yes, Hyuk has told me a lot about you too."

There was an awkward silence between them as Donghae tried to get eye contact with Hyukjae, but the latter only stared down at the stone way.

"I'll just go over there and...yeah." Jungsu pointed towards his car and walked off, earning a couple of disappointed eyes following him. Hyukjae let his head fall down again as he stared at the ground. Donghae took a few steps forward to stop in front of the boy.

"Hey, I'm not angry you know? Please, look at me Eunhyuk." Two fingers pressed at Hyukjae's chin to tilt his head up so he would face the brunette. The man was smiling his usual angelic smile. He's not mad?

The man motioned for them to sit on the bench, and even though Hyukjae decided to sit on a distance from Donghae, the latter would just move closer so that their knees would touch. The blonde's heart fluttered knowing the older wanted to be close.

"I wish you would have spoken to me." Donghae had averted his eyes, looking straight ahead instead of at Hyukjae. “I don’t mind having you live with me at all - in fact; I’ve really enjoyed my time together with you.” The blush on Hyukjae’s cheeks went unnoticed to the man. “Did you plan on going back home?”

Slight fear spread in the boy’s eyes as he shook his head violently. “I’m not going back!” Donghae was looking back at him again and he could find safety just looking at the brunette’s face.

“Then come back with me” Donghae’s voice was low but steady. A small blush almost blossoming up on his cheeks. Even Hyukjae blushed madly at the thought that Donghae wanted to live with him. His heartbeat rose and he swore the older would hear the banging from his chest.

~*~

Hyukjae had agreed to stay with Donghae since the man had continued convincing him to do so. Staying for a little longer wouldn’t hurt and lately he had felt more confident. Maybe he should be a little more as a grown up then, so he could get a job and pay back to Donghae?

Nothing had seemed out of the ordinary and Hyukjae started to realize for real that he wasn’t chased by anyone. He must have given up by now.

Hyukjae bid goodbye to Jungsu, and the latter even gave him a hug before walking over to his car. Jungsu told him he wasn’t going to be too far away, his sister lived in Yeongam where he was going to stay for two weeks. He was free to call his hyung anytime he wanted to.

It felt awkward to enter the house he had left hours earlier, and which he hadn’t planned to go back to. Not this easy. Hyukjae stepped out of his shoes carefully, Donghae had already got undressed and went straight to the living room and dropped down on the sofa. It didn’t dawn to Hyukjae until then that Donghae hadn’t said a word ever since they left Jungsu.

Carefully, he stepped closer. Donghae looked tired and stressed, his fingers were rubbing his temple as if he had a major headache.

The blonde waited for a couple of seconds, looking at Donghae and waiting for him to say anything but nothing came. He felt bad for burdening Donghae even more lately. And right now, he had to admit he was scared of the man, because he seemed to be in a very bad mood.

He quickly went to fetch a glass and poured up cold water and placed it on the coffee table in front of the sofa and thought about saying anything, but he decided to go somewhere else, and ended up locking himself in the toilet.

Everything felt so confusing right now, because earlier Donghae had almost begged him to come back and now when he agreed to it, the man seemed to be unhappy. His chest tightened and left a weird feeling in his whole body. He pulled up his legs on the toilet seat as well and hugged them tightly to find some sort of comfort to himself.

Hyukjae had lost track of the time he had been sitting alone in the bathroom, almost feeling like he was about to fall asleep in his position, then three knocks on the door woke him up. Partly he didn’t want to open the door, because he knew exactly who was standing outside and he still thought Donghae would be grumpy.

His wobbly legs carried him towards the door, and he stepped out with his eyes low. He heard Donghae sigh deeply.

After Donghae still hadn’t said anything, he raised his face an inch to take a look at the brunette.

“Are you okay? You’ve been in there for the last thirty minutes.” Donghae’s tone sounded empty, and his eyes seemed blank. Hyukjae replied with a nod. Another awkward silence occurred and Donghae went back to rubbing his temples. “Eunhyuk, I’m sorry if I-“

Donghae silenced as Hyukjae had nervously replaced his hands with his own on his throbbing temples and massaged them gently with his finger tops. His eyes dropped, feeling the tension calming down.

“I’m sorry for troubling you too much Donghae hyung.”

Donghae opened his eyes. Hyukjae avoided to look in them and pretended to be too concentrated on his hands.

He took Hyukjae’s hands away from his temples and mumbled a quiet ”thank you”, and held the hands softly. “But I didn’t mean to make you feel bad right now, Eunhyuk-ah. I’ve been a little stressed out today, and I didn’t expect you to have disappeared just like that when I came back. I wanted to see you,”

Hyukjae blushed at the statement.

“I’m sorry for being selfish. I shouldn’t force you to stay like this.” Donghae let go of Hyukjae’s hands, still with a sad expression, he walked into the bedroom. Hyukjae didn’t plan on staying in the bathroom so he went after the man, carefully thinking about what to say to make him happier. He did want to stay here, so Donghae should stop feeling bad.

Donghae just laid down on the bed as he came into the bedroom, and he mimicked the older and carefully laid down on his stomach.

Hyukjae thought Donghae had fallen asleep because of the long silence. It took another fifteen long minutes before Donghae opened a conversation.

"What does your parent say? You've been gone for so long, aren't they still in Seoul?"

Hyukjae mentally sighed, because he didn’t want to bring up the parents-topic, but felt he owned that to Donghae.

"My mother… She died about three years ago."

"Oh…I'm sorry" Donghae stroke a comforting hand on the blonde's arm, who shook his head with a small smile - though he was clearly showing unhappiness - to show it was okay. "And your dad?"

"I don't have one." Donghae decided not to ask anything more about it because of the look in Hyukjae's eyes. At least not for today.

"I understand you don't have anywhere else to live, and that you're not returning to Seoul. Didn't you plan on what to do in Mokpo before coming here?"

"Not really. I just picked a random train to go with." Donghae stared at him in unbelief. This seventeen year old took a random train to a city far away from his own, barely any money and no spare clothes, and not knowing where he was supposed to stay when arriving. His situation must be worse than Donghae had expected. "Are you running away from something, or someone? Have you been threatened?" Hyukjae shook his head. He felt a little disappointed with himself almost. He had told Jungsu about his father, but he wasn’t able to do so to Donghae.

Hyukjae turned his head towards Donghae and caught him staring at him. His heart started racing and he immediately turned his gaze away.

"Donghae hyung. How does it feel when you like someone?" It was the first thing that came to his mind. His heart beats were still pounding in his chest. Was this the feeling?

"That could depend on what kind of person you are. But usually your heart will start pumping faster and you feel nervous when being near that person. Uh, it's hard to explain. It's just a feeling that you really can't put in words."

"So if I feel something I don't know what it means, does that mean I like someone?"

"Well, maybe. Or you've just got a bad stomach" Hyukjae pouted because he felt like Donghae was making fun of him. "What, do you like someone?"

"I don't know..."

“Is it…Jungsu?” Since Jungsu was the only person Hyukjae seemed to be in contact with, Donghae couldn’t think of anyone besides him. Hyukjae replied without looking at the other male.

“He’s been really nice to me, Jungsu hyung. I don’t know what would have happened to me without him. It feels like he means a lot to me.”

It almost hurt hearing those words from the blonde. Didn’t Donghae mean anything to him? Hadn’t Donghae helped him too? He didn’t know why he had such high hopes, but he just smiled a little bitterly and gave Hyukjae’s arm a small pat.

“I don’t see a reason why he wouldn’t like you back.” Donghae had got up from the bed and walked towards the door. “I’ll go and take a shower.” The last words came out weakly, and Hyukjae stared at the spot where Donghae had lied a minute ago.

“But I never said it was Jungsu hyung who makes my heart beat faster.”

When Donghae returned to the bedroom he found the boy already asleep on top of the covers and fully dressed. A small smile crept on to his lips as he saw Hyukjae burying his face into his pillow. He managed to carefully sneak the covers out from underneath Hyukjae’s body and tucked the boy in, not really caring that he was still wearing clothes. For some reason he got stuck while staring at the latter’s face, and slightly opened lips. He found himself sitting next to the body and leaning over to get a better view.

Maybe if Hyukjae already had someone he liked, then it would be easier to wash away these feelings he started to envelope. His eyes rested on Hyukjae’s face for a long while.

Donghae didn’t know what he was doing and he wanted more than anything else to turn away from the peacefully sleeping boy and not getting involved with anything serious, but his heart obviously had taken control of his brain as he continued watching Hyukjae.

The latter started shifting worriedly in the bed and his eyebrows furrowed into a frown. Donghae crawled just a little bit closer and stretched out his hand for the blonde head and started stroking it. Hyukjae relaxed under the touches and it made Donghae continue with a smile. His hand slid down to the boy’s face and traced its features with the tops of his fingers. Hyukjae was lying still in bed again and taking in deep breaths.

A small croon came from Donghae’s throat as he continued caressing the blonde’s soft cheeks. He didn’t know why he didn’t stop right after Hyukjae had calmed down. The feeling of the other’s skin under his fingers felt so right that he couldn’t bring himself to a stop.

“H-Hae…”

Donghae couldn’t stop his large smile from coming out as he heard the other sleep talking about him. The happy feeling filled his whole body as he leaned down and carefully pressed his lips on the cheek, next to Hyukjae’s lips.

Small smatters from the rain crashing with the window filled the quiet room. Donghae lay back on his side and looked at how Hyukjae’s chest heaved up and down as he slowly breathed, glad that the latter hadn’t woken up because of what he just had done.

With a sigh he closed his eyes and tried to fall back to sleep, but just before he did, he felt a foreign hand touch his and reflexively he let his fingers brush against it and softly hold on to it.

~*~

Donghae spent the next day at home together with Hyukjae, making sure nothing would bother him and assure he’s not a bother. But Hyukjae was mostly quiet, so Donghae knew he saw himself as a burden. He offered Hyukjae to make dinner - not because he was too lazy himself, but he knew it would ease the tension from the blonde. And luckily it worked.

Afterwards, Hyukjae went out on the balcony on his own to get some fresh air, while Donghae rested on the sofa while reading. Suddenly the glass door flung open and Hyukjae barged inside.

"Hyung, quickly!” The brunette glanced up from the pages, with glasses placed on the bridge of his nose.”Hurry, they're everywhere!"
The book in Donghae's hands were taken away and placed on the coffee table as Hyukjae impatiently stood in front of him with a bewildered expression.

"What's wrong? Who's everywhere?" Donghae stood up and was dragged out on the balcony where there was no light except from the stars.

"Look!"

He glanced up to the sky where Hyukjae was pointing to. He smiled upon seeing the small glittering diamonds in the darkness. "They're all really pretty, right?"

"You haven't even seen them yet! They were so many before." Donghae looked questioning at the pouting boy.

"You don't mean the stars?" The other shook his head, but then his finger pointed to the sky once more and his face lit up brightly.

Beautiful, that was what Donghae thought as he saw that bright smile.

"Did you see that?"

"Hm?" Hyukjae turned to face the older and caught him in act of staring.

"You're not watching!"

"Sorry." Donghae turned his gaze away to see what the boy was so eager about, and when he heard the latter gasp a little, he saw a shooting star crossing with an abnormal long trail of white light. Just seconds later another one made a line on the sky. "Oh, that's right!” Donghae suddenly remember his conversation with Jongwoon from the other day. “My hyung told me about this a couple of days ago. It's cometsand that's passing by in the atmosphere. As it passes, it looks like a shooting star." The boy's eyes were still attached to the sky, but nodded as he took in the information from Donghae. "Have you ever seen shooting stars before?"

"No. This is the first time."

"You know, it's said that when you see a shooting star you can make a wish, an eventually it will come true."
Hyukjae looked amazed as he turned to Donghae, and he was sure the stars reflecting in the boy's eyes made him even more beautiful.

"Really? Can I really wish for something?" Donghae nodded and they both continued to observe the fascinating lines of light shooting from one direction to another. The boy gasped and pointed at the sky for each time he saw a new shooting star and even started counting them.

Without Hyukjae noticing, Donghae slipped behind the boy and did something he knew would only cause confusion between both of them, but promising this would be the only time he would ever do it, because right now his feelings were about to explode.

The blonde jerked in surprise when two arms stretched over his shoulders, wrapping themselves around his body and carefully pushing him backwards so his back would crash into Donghae’s chest. Donghae took a deep breath as he tightened his arms a little more to feel closer.

“I’m sorry.” He mumbled, as he pressed his face into Hyukjae’s hair, smelling his own shampoo.

“H-hyung….w-what’s wrong?”

“It’s just…” Donghae was about to let go, but changed his mind because Hyukjae hadn’t try to get him off, so the boy didn’t hate it right? Though he loosened his arms a little so Hyukjae wouldn’t feel like he’s trapped. Only as he did, the latter was able to turn a little, and he glanced up at Donghae - giving the man a great view of his pretty face. It was hard to understand why he was feeling this much towards Hyukjae, and he had even promised himself to get over it but it just wouldn’t go away. Hyukjae really made his heart beat faster.

The other blinked his eyes as in questioning Donghae’s behavior, and if it hadn’t been so dark his blush definitely would’ve shown.

“Hyuk…”

“Hmm?”

“Don’t call me hyung anymore.”

The speed of Hyukjae’s heartbeats increased badly as he looked into Donghae’s eyes. Somehow, they were easy to get lost in, just like in a dark sea.

“W-why not?”

“Just call me Donghae.”

“Oh… Okay…”

What made Hyukjae wonder the most was why Donghae hadn’t let him go? Or what was even more confusing was why he even hugged him like this at all.  He didn’t only feel his own heart beat, but also because of the close proximity, he could tell that Donghae’s heart was beating in the same rhythm as his. If he was right about what this feeling meant, then this could be a way to confirm it.

"Donghae..."

"Yeah?"

"Can...Can you kiss me?"

Donghae had absolutely not expected that to come, and hesitance printed in his eyes. How did we end up at this point?  His heart had started beating rapidly, because he already was certain he had forbidden feelings for the boy in front of him. His arms pulled back and he could see the blonde’s expression fall.

"Eunhyuk,” It wasn’t supposed to go this far “it's not right for me to do that."

"Only if I want you to" they looked into each others' eyes and eventually Donghae softened. He did want it, because he did like Hyukjae, and right now he did forget about the consequences. He bent down a little, placing his hands on Hyukjae's lean shoulders and let his lips stopped right in front of the other ones’.

"This is wrong" the brunette whispered and his warm breath met Hyukjae's lips. But even knowing he could get in trouble for involving with an underage boy, he still leaned forward and pressed his lips against the ones he's been tempted to touch for a while. Yes, he did have feelings for Hyukjae and he didn't deny he wanted him to be his - should he call it boyfriend? Lover, his everything?

Hyukjae enjoyed Donghae's kiss. It felt completely different from that man's disgusting lip-rubbing and licking. Donghae's lips were soft and he even tasted sweet. He slowly found himself bold enough to deepen the kiss a little and Donghae didn't refuse, and started nibble the boy’s lip gently. Eventually air was needed and the both of them separated - Hyukjae blushing and Donghae trying not to panic when realizing he had actually fallen for a 17 year old. However he pulled the younger into his embrace and stroked the blonde hair together with pressing small kisses to it.

"Eunhyuk-ah" he said softly and held the other with all the love he possessed, "You know what I'm risking if I have a relationship with you, don't you?"

"I'm sorry Hae." Hyukjae pressed himself closer to Donghae to suppress his feelings. He felt as he was on the verge of crying, because he had never felt anything like this. If he kissed Donghae, which he knew was supposed to be a nice thing, then he might know if what he was feeling was love.

"Don't be sorry Eunhyuk. You're the one to receive my special attention, remember? And here you have it." Donghae gave a light peck to Hyukjae's forehead before pulling away. "Let's go to sleep now, okay?” Donghae couldn't resist grabbing on to Hyukjae's hand and led him out of the room, keeping his love close to his side.

~*~

"Donghae. My wish..." the addressed man looked at the other and raised his eyebrows in a questioning manner. Hyukjae smiled shyly underneath the covers. "My wish kind of came true."

"What wish...?"

"The shooting star-wish.”

“Really? What did you wish for?”

“I….I won’t tell you!”

The boy turned around to back-face Donghae and tried to sleep fast so he wouldn’t have to face the other, because he felt embarrassed.

He had wished for Donghae. To always be with him, to be the one Donghae cared the most for, to be loved for real. It felt like it would slowly turn true right now.

Donghae smiled widely as he faced the younger’s back, managing to see a bit of Hyukjae’s red cheeks before turning. He raised himself on his one elbow and leaned over to peek at Hyukjae who was staring at the wall. Hyukjae noticed Donghae from the corner of his eye and closed his eyes to pretend he was sleeping. Now Donghae knew that the boy was a very bad actor. With another smile, he leaned down so his lips almost touched the blonde’s ear and whispered “good night” and gave it a last peck.

He caught a small smile on Hyukjae’s lips before he cuddled down under the covers himself. His left hand searched for the other’s hand, which were placed on his hip, and rested it on top of it. Hyukjae’s fingers jerked a little, and then they softly grabbed Donghae’s forefinger before he fell asleep.

~*~

He had woken up earlier than Hyukjae the next morning and sneaked out without waking the boy up. Today looked like it would rain more, though that he still sat on the balcony wrapped up in his coat.

Right now he really needed to sort out his thoughts and feelings. If they would continue with this thing that he and Hyukjae had discovered the day before, everything would change. A relationship with an underage boy isn’t something that easily gets accepted by the society, and he also knew that this kind of thing, he wouldn’t be able to keep it a secret from Hyukjae’s parents not his own family. That would be irresponsible and he was most certain they would not agree on such thing. Hyukjae was after all, still just a kid.

Hyukjae had become a person he really wanted to take care of, the way he would only want for the ones he love. And he assumed that after meeting Hyukjae several times, and each time looked so fragile and sick, made him want to help and now he was allowed to do so. But never did he expect his caring would turn into liking.

Earlier he has had both girlfriends and one and another boyfriend, but never had the age-gap been as broad as it was between him and Hyukjae.

Donghae shot a glance at the sky and he heard a low rumbling, a sign that was telling him that bad weather was on its way. He picked up his cup with now cold coffee and walked back into the warmth. On the way back to the bedroom he picked up a headset, then carefully covering the sleeping Hyukjae’s ears with them and started to play low calm music.  He didn’t want the boy to be scared again. He occupied the space next to Hyukjae; his hand reaching out to the other’s and held it gently while stroking his thumb over the hand. A louder crack of thunder was heard outside the window but Hyukjae still lay peacefully to Donghae’s may.

“Eunhyuk,” Donghae’s other hand caressed the boy’s warm cheek. He almost hated himself for liking the contact so much. The hand dropped and he leaned closer and left a peck on the blonde hair.

“I don’t know if I should allow myself to start loving you, or if I should just let you go.”
