Those who are close to me know that I've been annoyed by those who are too rude to ask/tell me for permission at using my translation/dictation ( Read more... )

*sighs and hugs* That really sucks that people are so rude as to do that. :( It makes you not want to do anything at all.

:( :( :(

I don't blame you for being angry at all...

Comparing to this complete change, using my translation with a credit without asking me is much more better. ))):
I really really really don't understand why she did it.... I'm scared.

oh! I'M sorry masuda_takahits I forgot to ask u permission too, because I like posted your smack translations in a Youtube video comment with his song in it.I thought that u wouldn't mind if I leave it in the comments so people can understand how cool he is(and I thought what u said about asking u before posting didn't matter if I did it in the comments instead of posting it somewhere else),I think I was just to naive, but I hope u can forgive me! ):

Thanks for your comment!
As I rarely say NO, DO NOT USE MINE, if you want to repost my translation somewhere, just tell me about it before posting and credit me when you repost.^^
I will clarify about it when I'll translate next time.
That's also my wish to promote Nakmaru or others. :DDD
And I'm happy if my translation can help them♥

This time I got really angry as she changed all my words. ):

DD: *pats*

I don't blame you for being angry either, but I hope that you will not give up on your translations :D

I enjoy reading them =D I agree that sometimes the meaning can't be interpreted fully by people who are not native speakers of Japanese.. So it's always nice to see ur translations =P (I honestly thought Ai Ai Gasa was Love Love Umbrella too... until you told me XD)

Thank you!
I just left the permission matter for the readers' decision, but from the next time I will try to clarify it, which will sound a bit strict, though.
LOL for aiai-gasa!
It can be a doubled-meaning though.^^

So this is what happended! I'm really sorry for you, I know it sucks when people do so... Maybe it's not even rudeness, maybe it's just that they don't think about all the hard work behind a translation... anyway, they should learn to be more considerate!!
But don't worry, I think your english is very good!! ^__^
*hugs*

Thank you<3
I feel bad if people think that all the information on the internet can be taken freely and even they can change and edit it. ):
It's just a fanwork and the original copyright should be held by the lyricist, but translators should have their copyright at the translation too.
I'm happy if my English is okay.^^;
It's far from perfect, but at least I can say that it's better than normal people in my country.

:/ I wish you could post it to NEWS_JPOP. When people see a translation that is said to be taken from a native Japanese person, they're more likely to trust it. And if that person who isn't a native speaker changed it and made a mistake... Well. It's spreading false information.

But look. You may not be able to post it to the community, BUT I suggest that you talk to the moderators of NEWS_JPOP. That is what they're there for, after all. Okay?

If anyone ever takes your things without asking again, you should contact the mods and then they will remove that person's post, because it's against the rules to do that without your permission. So there is a way to solve it. :)

And for her, if she asked you and then changed the lyrics, I think you should just tell her to remove the credit to you. Because it's embarrassing to see your name on what must have become a wrong translation. -___-; More proficient Japanese speakers than her will see it, and think that you're a Japanese who can't speak Japanese....

Thank you DX
Last night I put a comment to her slightly to tell 'that's not my translation' and waited, but as she hasn't given me back, I tried to do the second step.
Thanks for pushing my back♥

As it's not beautiful to rant on the community, I've sent a PM to one of the mod there who seems to be active.
And I tried to PM the one who've posted it too, but as she prohibited to receive PM from outside her f-list that I had to give her a comment again. ):
it really sucks as she wrote 'love-love umbrella' as a title, which I hate to call.
('Ai' for 'aiai-gasa' means 'share')

Yes, and it's easy to find what aiai-gasa means if you want to translate properly. --> http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/cgi-bin/wwwjdic.cgi?1Q%C1%EA%B9%E7%BB%B1_1_ (this example made me laugh, though...)

Whenever I translate, I check all the words that I don't know very thoroughly. Occasionally I'll make a mistake. ^^; But less often than someone who doesn't bother to check.
