[This place wasn't unlike other Worlds had visited, by day. However, after the sirens, when night fell, Darkness reigned supreme. It was distasteful how deeply Siren's Port was saturated in it during the night.]

To those of you that have been here for a great length of time, those who would know most, what do you know of the Darkness that engulfs Sirens Port by night? What can you tell me regarding it? Anything, preferably, so I can gather all possible information.

[He can't delve further into his reasons for asking. He has rules to obey, the rules of his order. They are also rules that he must insure are followed by those in that same order so the world order was kept intact.]

It is my duty to combat the Darkness. I require as much information as can be given. I can't allow it to do any more damage than it already has.

Strong-hearted and wise (by no means beyond his years), Eraqus treats all three of his apprentices as if they were his own children. Shown when he sheds tears in the decision of having to end the lives of Ventus and Terra; by when he offers Terra a chance to prove to him that he is worthy of achieving the rank of Master; by when he shows open concern for Ventus when he first returns to the Land of Departure; and when he asks Aqua to keep watch on Ven and Terra after naming her his Successor. He trains with them often, making sure they’ll skills reflect what they are capable of and nothing less. This may make him seem strict, which is not untrue, but he does care deeply about them and wants them to meet their potential. As seen when the Orbs of Light, affected by Darkness, during that Mark of Mastery Exam go unchecked as he feels his apprentices are more than capable of fighting against them.
