Data overload

Having three computers in front of me does not make me more productive. The work laptop, the beast, and the backup are all doing different things. Could I just multitask on one? Sure, but then I'd have screen envy.

Actually, I have to use the work machine to VPN, and the beast is my main system for pretty much anything like searches, graphics, and non-work-related. The backup has been file storage and burning, and as soon as I get the drive properly backed up, I am going to test a new OS install on it; I tried wiping and installing several flavors on the backup-backup-frankenmachine and it was a wash. The kids' machine works like a champ, but for some reason the linksys wireless G PCI card won't stay connected to my N router (it DID, but considering what vectors the rest of my family are, I'm not sweating the virtual condom of disconnectivity in play).

Anyway, it keeps the room warm.
