Oh, same here! If it's revealed (hopefully better than Snape's "I AM THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE!" thing), I will bookmark the page, put my book down, and roll on the floor holding my stomach in laughter. Then I'll get up and continue reading. XD

ok, see, I might just snicker and go online and make fun of people who are upset. I'm nice like that.

I read part of this, but I think I'm going to be rereading all the books and I'll have a better response after that.

I need to do that. I'll probably get started sometime in June...

I'd never have seen anything like that coming, but it's a really clever idea.XD I might just have to jump onboard that train.

that is the most brilliant theory in HP that i've ever read. i would seriously love it if this came true. especially because of the peter thing.

and, also (i didn't read the whole thing, but...), think about the rivalry between snape and mcgonagall. sure, it could easily be written off as the slytherin vs. gryffindor thing, but it's always seemed to go a bit deeper than that to me. maybe it's because she taught snape. maybe it's because dumbledore trusts (trusted) snape implicitly -- who knows -- but it certainly doesn't seem that far-fetched to me that she's a spy.

consider, also, how she was hit with over FIVE stunning spells and yet still managed to be a hard-ass bitch. is it so difficult to believe that was planned? that the death eaters saw it was the McG and therefore didn't hit her as hard as they could have? i think, like the cruciatus, stunning spells have "levels" depending on how much magic you put behind it. if you don't put that much power behind it, it's easy to make it look like someone's just gotten the shit kicked ( ... )

Exactly! At first when I read the books, I thought the rivalry was EXTREMELY overplayed, but reading the theory makes sense on why ( ... )

mean, he was the friend that was always the looked-over one. He could have off-handedly mentioned it to Sirius and Sirius could have taken it as "omg good idea!" and ran with it.

yeah, except after that sirius would have mentioned repeatedly that it was peter's idea to begin with, and they wouldn't have trusted peter ever again after that. it wouldn't have just been a, "peter, you know you can't suggest things like that to sirius because HE'LL DO IT" and peter be all, "lolz sry" and them forgive him thing. it would have been a, "ARE YOU COMPLETELY MORONIC? NEVER SPEAK TO US AGAIN KTHXBAI!" thing and the whole betrayal wouldn't have come entirely out of left field.

of course, that's just my two cents.

True, but we don't know Sirius very well pre-Azkaban, either. Even though we know his post-Azkaban and he's still all "I'm a prankster!" he could still have been different. I mean, I know sometimes I'll hear an off-hand comment, run with that idea, and then totally forget that it wasn't my idea until told. *shrug* Plus I didn't mean that Peter would go and be all "*sits next to Sirius* I think Snape should see Remus in the full moon." I meant it like Sirius could have been trying to think of a new prank and Peter, there helping him, could have been, "Haha, that one was great, Sirius! *buddy buddy* I wonder what he'd do if he saw Remus on a moon..." or something. Besides that, they were all against Snape in the first place (you can't deny that).

You have to also think that they didn't say that to Sirius (the never speak to us again thing) when he did it. If Sirius can be forgiven at the time, why can't Peter? I know, I know, "we all love Sirius!" ... but Peter wasn't known to be "evil" at that point. There's no reason for them ( ... )

Fawkes = likes boys ftw!

This totally makes sense. Especially in the movies, you can see how McGonagall looks at Dumbledore. Maybe she was all "ILU" when she was a student and the rejection from Dumbledore then is the reason why she was all "GODDAMNYOU" and whatnot.

Oh he was x.x Especially in book 2.

I like fandom!Dumbledore better than JKR!Dumbledore. At least in Fandom (or the ones I read) he's well rounded and whatnot.
