Finishing things

Mar 21, 2011 01:59

I happened upon an idea.  The idea is to keep a list of things you finish.  The aim is to encourage people with a history of starting things and not finishing them to change their ways.  This sounds like it could be worth a go!

So things that I can say that I have finished:
 - Had filling fitted by the new dentist (no need for anesthetic) - just replacing a bit that fell off a tooth, got repaired by old dentist, fell off again, then old dentist left town...
 - Fitted blinds in tictactoepony's pony room.  (Cheated a little - she ordered some proper velux ones which are easy to fit).
 - Filled (now redundant) screw holes in pony room.
 - Completed a facial expressions drawing exercise sheet (napalmnacey.deviantart.com/art/25-Essential-Expressions-55523083)
 - Located 2 episodes of Doogie Howser MD to show to tictactoepony - she now seems to be hooked.
 - Two attempts at making a paper ocarina that will work (from scratch).  No further attempts are planned it doesn't look possible.
 - Finished reading Darkly Dreaming Dexter to tictactoepony - disturbingly relaxing bedtime reading material.
 - Made plan to call SWT to volunteer and set reminder on Phone.

Things I'm going to finish this week:
 - Call SWT and arrange to join one of their volunteer events (preferably this week).
 - Tidy up few remaining bits of work debris in pony room and paint over filler.
 - Finish reading QED book (by Wed).
 - Tidy remains of project 'paper ocarina' and rest of lounge table clutter.
 - Scan facial expressions sheet.
 - Scan engraving workshop results.
 - Upload at least 10 pictures from NZ (should be easy I think there are at least 10 ready to go).
 - Make my (ludicrously infrequent) twitter posts appear in FB somehow.
 - Take at least a short walk every day.
 - Bake a cake.

Hopefully this week but possibly next:
 - Read remainder of World War Z.
 - Join a SWT work party.
 - Reread chapter of book on iPhone memory management.
 - Finish iPhone App general framework.
 - Sort out filing system for digital photos that works.
 - Fill out another character expressions sheet with character head not just cartoon facial features.
 - Make plastic mounting plate for Router (woodworking tool).
 - Complete one of my bookmaking projects from guild workshops last year.

If there's anything you think I should finish that I've already started please do post a reply!
