Yeah, that's my father for you. He isn't good at making personal connections with people. He wasn't raised in a house where he was taught to socialize. He only had two friends while growing up because he had to get up early every morning to work around the ranch and when he got home, work on the ranch until the sun went down, do his homework, and go to bed. He didn't have free time during his childhood. He never made any lasting connections during his 4 years of college, even though he was in a fraternity and spent a large chunk of his free time drinking cheap beer or smoking pot with his frat brothers. Unfortunately, my brother is very much the same way, as far as making friends goes. He only 1 or 2 close friends when he was growing up. My brother doesn't know how to handle meeting new people. Well, neither does my sister. They'll both say hello and then go about ignoring the new person. They don't start conversations with people they don't know. Even if they're not introduced by name, they won't offer their name unless the person ( ... )
