I know this from a very personal standpoint. I was lost without John. Some days I still am. I lost John a few days before Shane lost Tom (see video below). I can remember feeling all those things (and more that just can't be expressed with words). You're never prepared, but I urge you to have your affairs in order so that you don't have to sneak into another state to visit your partner's grave because you know their parent(s) were planning to ambush and attack you if you went to their funeral or burial. I hope it never happens to you. I hope it never happens to anyone... but I know that it does.

When all your strength is gone. When all the love has gone. You have to find a way to carry on.
