It's Everywhere!
When did TV become so sexist? Has it always been that way? I think it has. Every commercial I watched tonight was sexist in some way. Even the TV shows themselves can be sexist at times. More in a 'making fun of yourselves and what we really do' way but still sexist.
And even shows that are seemingly gay friendly (as in there's a gay person or gay couple), such as The Secret Life of A Teenager, where two guys went on a date together for the first time, some girl had to come in and kiss one of them while the other guy in the date was away for a moment and say, "Did [insert male date's name here] ever kiss you like that?" Then she walks away and he looks dumbfounded. No gay man would look dumbfounded! Not even a 26 year old confused "teenager!" We'd back off and say, "Whoa, hey I'm with [insert male date's name here] and I'm not into you that way. I'm not into any girl that way." THEY DON'T HAVE TO BLOODY FUCKING THINK ABOUT IT! But it was the ABCFamily channel and of course all some guy needs is the right girl to come along. Makes me lose my inner peace!
