well spent 6 hours at the lab working on this damn Robot...and made very....very very little progress. This machine is either possessed or just mentally retarded. Program it to follow a line...when the touch sensors are pressed it is supposed to go in reverse...and turn to go around the object. Instead it either keeps going forward...turns to the right..then left...then goes forward...turns off...or seldomly..it will do what it is programmed to do.
it is really depressing...we have had troubles with this kit in the previous labs involving it...and there isn't much we can do. Tomorrow the program and field test of it is due...and we only got less than half of it done...and that is only if the robot has a fleeting moment of clarity. It really sucks...cause this is all or nothing grade...and it is like 20% of our total lab grade. the other 2 guys there tonight had issues as well...but they made more progress than me and my group did...and they couldn't seem to figure out why our bot was acting like a total wanker.
Tomorrow morning i am gonna show up early and try and bail our disenheartened group out...but i am not very hopeful myself. I guess all i can do is hope for the best...and hope the TA is being a prick as he usually is and cuts us some slack....either way i am kind of settling in with the idea of we are gonna get a zero. It makes me really pissed off...and really dissappointed...
This lab seemed like it was gonna be a lot of fun...but it has turned into one crazy and stressful event that never quite goes as we plan or hope. The fun has died long ago now.
