Today, the day of Algebr's triumph of completing a Half, I have time to write of something which has been on my mind since first days of Karelia cycling tour.
The idea is: if it is not your Life Task, the meaning of your life, there has to be a limit. In other words, if you don't lay claim to something, then just don't.
There are more significant things in my life than keeping myself fit. Now I just can't afford training enough so that I can, say, participate in Ironman any time soon. So, it is my duty to set a limit beyond which I won't step.
The good thing is that if it is your Life Task there won't be any limits. Immerse yourself to it. Maybe, if you are lucky, with love, you will get this thing done.
If you have at least one talent (and my whole ideology is built on the theory that each and every person has one) you can afford yourself mediocrity in everything else. Just be at your best in what you were born to do.
