I just beat Dragon Age 2. And now I'll play through Awakening again, this time with my Battlemage Arcane Warrior (why do I even get these two mixed up), so that I can play through Dragon Age 2 again with a different backstory.
So, yeah, I loved it. It definitely wasn't the same (even if only minor) letdown that Mass Effect 2 was. I'm still very

Ugh I know what you mean. DA2 is one of the only things that distracts me right now while the rest of the world is going crazy.
I played on Casual and beat the Arishok really really easily with both Miriel and Gareth? The fight was similar to a solo boss fight on WoW, so maybe I'm more used to the strategy idk. I probably could have done Normal considering, but hey. As Miriel I didn't even have high enough Friendship for Isabela to show up though, so I basically dueled him for shits and giggles (aka kited him around the room for ages). As Gareth my stamina running out turned out to be more of a problem than anything else, because I figured I could stun him with that Templar AOE thing. BOLSTER SPAM + WAIT FOR SECOND WIND TO GET OFF OF CD FOREVER RINSE AND REPEAT. Restoration potions help too, but I only needed two.
I friend-romanced Anders and ended up running away with him as Miriel; she was extremely upset with him to say the least ( ... )

It's the same for me, really. Watching the news is really frightening right now, and the worst part of it is, that apart from donating money, there's nothing you can do to change it.
I'll definitely be playing on Casual with my Mage, because even as a pretty well leveled/equipped Warrior, the Arishok was pretty much impossible for me to beat. One hit and 1/4th of Lilith' health was gone D: Oh yeah, and running out of stamina, lol. As a Mage you probably have to be really careful not to get too close to him, right?
Ahaha, I probably spent half an hour staring at the evil tv screen, heartlessly prompting me to decide Anders' fade. I knew what was IC for Lilith, but shit, it was hard. I felt so so awful after she killed him, especially because his parting words are extremely ;_;-inducing. Then there was a small moment of "hey, where's the body, I wanted some loot!! /is obviously also a horrible person, just in a different way and then ( ... )

I'm still not sure which route I'll take with my Mage, I definitely want things to go BOOM, and then Anders could stick around for healing... being a Blood Mage is just way too much fun D:
THEY ARE, TELL ME SHOULD YOU EVER WISH TO KNOW ;_;
But I never got the Anders' Spicy Shimmy conversation
what is this, tell me moar :o
I'll probably (rival-)romance him with my Mage, as a kind of apology for killing him. Forgive me, Aaaanders.
Oh, that could be it! Hope he sticks with you this time around!

AHAHA, I KNOW. I think it'll be real fun to play as a Blood Mage and to support the Templars /is a troll
Oh, and I heard that only through the rival!romance you actually get a small glimpse into Ander's inner conflict with Justice :o
OMG, I think I remember that one, vaguely! I'll probably get it again, my party is currently Sigrun, Anders and Nathaniel (and I don't think I'll switch out any of them; I could never quite warm up to Velanna... on the other hand I'd be interesting to include Justice... argh, decisions, decisions XD)

Ooh, I would really like to see that. But I'm too much of a mage sympathizer for my own good, hahaha... even if they all spit on you and betray you. THE TEMPLARS ARE STILL ASSHATS FOR THE MOST PART (even if DA2!Cullen is a bro for once).
I wasn't a tank, so I used Justice in my party. It was really sad to hear his and Anders' conversations because I already knew about the DA2 situation, so yeah. Also, I don't like Velanna either. Blergh.

Yeah, I wish they'd have let you edit the preset some... or at least let us give the weird bloodstain to other characters, yeah.
Primal/Force is fun! I went with a similar build the first time I played Miriel. Shooting lightning ftw!
Duuuuude the difficulty change was WAY steeper than I expected. I find myself flopping back and forth depending on the quest because I mostly can't be arsed to open the radial menu for every damn battle lmfao.
A lot of my friends hate Carver, but since I'm the oldest in my family I'm used to being resented by little brothers for being more awesome than them. So I find his dickish-ness sort of endearing in a "aww, look who's trying to be a ~rebel~" sort of way. Bethany is still my favorite for being a sweetheart though. And YES, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU CULLEN?? I wanted to smack him in Origins, but I must admit I'm quite the fan in DA2. :'DDD
IT'S OKAY, I'VE RAMBLED A LOT MORE.
