I just beat Dragon Age 2. And now I'll play through Awakening again, this time with my Battlemage Arcane Warrior (why do I even get these two mixed up), so that I can play through Dragon Age 2 again with a different backstory.
So, yeah, I loved it. It definitely wasn't the same (even if only minor) letdown that Mass Effect 2 was. I'm still very much in love with this world. And I can't wait to see where they'll take us next - Orlais, maybe?
Normal difficulty, name: Lilith Hawke.
Or Female Warrior of Snark and Inappropriate Comments at the Worst Possible Moment, (rival-)romanced Fenris, 'cause Hawke loves her sister very much. (And because I want to play a Mage who hates other Mages during my 2nd playthrough, for the lulz). Used two-handed weapons.
Wanted to duel the Arishok to keep Isabella (after all she had earned his respect, woohoo!), but got her ass handed back so thoroughly (repeatedly, baw), that the player had to take the team option to take him down or despair forever. (Maybe next time.)
Had a friendly relationship with Anders, and killed him, because she felt very, very betrayed by his, well, betrayal. Sided with the Mages, again, because of her family.
Had to fight the battle against Orsino twice, 'cause it bugged the first time (you could still hear Isabella's battle-grunts, while everybody else just stood around and waited for the story to continue, it was kind of funny).
Only had to use one Health Potion during the final battle(s), on Varric. (Made me feel better about the whole Arishok disaster.)
Final team: Fenris, Bethany, Varric.
Before: Fenris, Varric, and whoever else I felt like using at the moment.
Anyway.
I feel weird about posting about something so unimportant while around us the world's... crumbling.
I hope you're all okay.
