Some food for thought... Or science for your plot bunnies...
Living cells used to create 'biotic' video games - I thought this was an awesome idea to interact with single-cell organisms and learn about the biological process, though it does bring into question just how far some will go to 'learn'. Some might not have a problem because they are single-cell organisms. Others might due to the implications that they are, in fact, living cells no matter if they feel pain or not.
NASA satellites find high-energy surprises in 'constant' Crab Nebula - I love how science always surprises scientists. :)
Genetically Modified Chickens That Don't Trasmit Bird Flu Developed; Breakthrough Could Prevent Future Bird Flu Epidemics - Yes, but do they taste like chicken? (Admittedly, I clicked the article because 'Genetically Modified' was abbreviated to 'GM' and my mind went, 'wait. whut? Game Master Chickens?? ...')
What a SEAL Wants in a Precision Sniper Rifle - Not science per se, but it is an interesting perspective for those whose Shep!soldiers love their Widows/Inscisors or to write Garrus/Zaeed/Trailer!Guy/Ashley from a sniper's POV.
For Fun! Science!
Barrett Announces Commercial MRAD Rifle - Speaking of sniper rifles.... I'll just leave this right here as I fangirl the rifle. >3
Pictures: Mount Etna Erupts - just in time for Therum ^_^;
Anaconda vs Rodent of Unusual Size - Guess who won? It takes 6 hours for the anaconda to swallow the rodent and a few days to digest. O.O The video is only 2.5 minutes long though. (warning: skip if you are not one for watching a huge-ass snake strangle and dine on an animal in Venezuela)
