You don't even know how much I've scribbled down for Gavorn and mystery man since seeing the vid. You don't even know.
I should be doing real work. Instead I'm over here fangirling like there's no tomorrow. This is ridiculous. At least I have some Drell I'm finishing up for this week's art spam 8I

I've been tempted to do something Gavorn related m'self. That, and Emily Wong at the lunch table with what looks to be Counselor Velarn with her. Hmmmm...
I've also gotten struck with the idea to do a one-shot where Liara and Mordin just talk and kinda get to know one another better. Seeing as the DLC ended on possibly the best note ever -well, for me anyways- a "light" story with those two would be hella fun to write.
And I hear ya' on real work. Anthropology homework? Pppfffff.... =V
Them damn masks.aryss_reaperSeptember 10 2010, 12:04:27 UTC
I've played this game approximately 7 times, and there's one thing that always bugs me.
During a few missions (such as boarding the Collector ship for the first time, getting the Reaper IFF and Tali's mission) we see Shepard in a helmet that covers his head completely, yet there are some party members that only wear a mask. Yes, Samara, Jack and Miranda, I'm looking at you. Now, I don't know about asari, but humans ought to be wearing full body protection when bouncing around in space.
I don't know why, but it just irritates me so much, every time I see it. D:
Re: Them damn masks.sinvraalSeptember 10 2010, 12:09:40 UTC
It bothers me like I can't describe. In their decision to make the character designs unique, they took the space out of their space game. They compromised one of the fundamental things about the universe. The idea that Jack could run around on all those planets with nothing but a breather mask is just ridiculous and for me, destroys a certain amount of immersion.
And as I always ask, how did they even get anywhere near the quarian flotilla with all that skin hanging out?
Re: Them damn masks.metaraymekSeptember 10 2010, 12:17:10 UTC
When I took Thane initially with me to the Flotilla, I was so annoyed by the fact that, while he was smart enough to wear a full face mask, he had his fingers and a spot of chest exposed. 'Course, the dossier explains the chest part, but nnnnnnghhhh. I always put him in his DLC outfit now whenever I take him places the masks are used.
Re: Them damn masks.aryss_reaperSeptember 10 2010, 12:17:14 UTC
It's not just the flotilla, but anywhere. I bloody love Jack, but when I saw her in nothing but her nipple strap, and a mask during my first play through, I seriously wished the developers would have abandoned looking stylish/unique/sexy and instead got things to be more...realistic when it came to that. I'm sure the Collectors wouldn't have been disappointed if they didn't get to see Jack's almost bare chest. Or Miranda's curves. Or Samara's boobage.
So I was going to buy some points and play LotSB earlier this week.
And then the transaction "failed".
So now EA has my money and I don't have any points.
They promised me a refund withint "4-5 working days", but the thing is, I only had like 12 bucks in my paypal account at the time, and it takes a few days to transfer more funds, so I can either do that or wait for the refund before I can actually buy the damn points and play the expansion.
...this has to go and happen with the one expansion that actually seems to mean something and has the community exploding with activity... that I can't read.
FFFFFFF.
It's at times like this I regret my decision to go 100% legit with ME2.
My friend also had a lot o trouble getting the PC version to work properly. When he finally was able to navigate the crazy of EA's online purchasing system, LotSB was just a bunch of 1's and 0's. It's not an element of PC gaming that I'm envious of, that's for sure.
I'm going to sit in the LotSB-less corner with you. I've been working through my real proper 100% genuine canon playthrough from ME1, and just haven't gotten round to it yet. Or Overlord for that matter... *bricked!*
I feel your pain, a little. The internet at my place for whatever reason will not allow me to connect to XBL, so I haven't been able to download it yet despite having the necessary points. -_-
Of course, I happen to be staying at my parents house this weekend for a wedding shower and you can bet your ass I'll be taking the XBOX with me and mooching their internet the second I step through the door. Priorities.

Because I got the fic plot bunnies like something fierce, man. Those dossiers are a lightning rod of inspiration.

And gay. GAY EVERYWHERE.
I should just rename this story of the OC crew "gays in space."
