True Friendship is a Rare Thing

If you are fortunate enough to have really good, true friends, you will totally get this post. If you are not blessed with these types of friendships, I feel bad for you.

There are certain people you meet that you click with instantly; there's  not much effort, it just happens naturally, almost magically. Almost a year ago, Steve and I met Carl and Jimmy. They are true friends.

Carl and Jimmy are amazing guys. Carl has a daughter Mikala, who is fabulous!! She is a a complete DIVA just like her father. Together they are raising her to be even more fabulous. They have decided to open their home to foster children. They have plans to open their lives for gay children who need a loving supportive home! There are special places in heaven for people like them.

On Friday night, Carl and Jimmy came into town to spend some time with us. They arrived just in time for dinner, we hung out and watched TV, talked and laughed. Steve had to work on Saturday, so Carl, Jimmy and I slept in a little and once everyone was awake, I fixed pancakes and bacon (mmmm, bacon!) and were complete lazy slobs, not even showering until about 2:00 pm. After making ourselves presentable, we hopped in the car and drove around Northern Kentucky and Downtown Cincy (Carl used to live here and things are much different now). We called Steve and met him for lunch/dinner at Chez Nora in Main Strasse. Again, we talked, laughed and truly enjoyed each others company.

Any of you who know Steve and I  at all, know how much we value our friends. I don't know anyone who has better friends then we do. Carl and Jimmy are two of the best!! Thanks guys for everything...thanks for the advice, the laughter and the very special friendship. We love you guys!
