(no subject)
My maternal grandfather came out to visit us with his new wife, M. I've never known her, since the last time I saw her was when I was little little little, and he just recently married her, so it was a good chance to get to know each other. They both came out because my grandfather wanted to be here when he got out of jail. Mom agreed to this with a laugh, saying that if there was anyone he was intimidated by, it would be her dad.
Okies, just a little background story --
My grandfather and grandmother married young, had three kids(my mom, aunt, and uncle J). My grandfather was in the Vietnam war.
So when he returned, he became an avid alchoholic and quite the mind-player. When firecrackers were suddenly let out at their house, Mom says he totally freaked, locked himself and his guns in the bathroom and broke down crying. He appeared fine and happy as all get out to everyone, but at home he could be very demanding, overpowering, and impossible for my analytical mother to live with. After many years, she finally couldn't stand it and moved out, soon followed by my grandmother at last divorcing him. My grandmother has married twice since then, and I'm sorry to say her third guy isn't the easiest to trust you. But I digress. I have never seen my biological grandparents in the same room.
We went to lay in their hotel pool, which was awesome. Yumichan never learned how to swim, so she spent lot of time practicing. She's afraid of the water, so it was difficult. She's nearly got it, and a few more days in a pool and she would have it.
Yesterday us three big kids went with mom, grandfather, and M to sightsee. Ended up at a museum for country music. X_X One of the only two genres I'm definitely not crazy about... It was okay, though. Strange to say, the coolest part was getting to spend some time with them both, equal with the fact that I got 4 hours of mp3-listening time. I haven't been able to listen to an entire song most of the time, so that was cool.
Meh...still have a bad cough that just started to be a problem at night. The last two nights were perfectly fine, but last night was...X_X Meh. And now I'm cramping. But my loverly daddy said he was gonna pick me up some chocolate, so thar.
The worst part of having a cough is the inability to finishing singing a phrase in your fave songs. I have sheet music for some Dresden Dolls and Tori Amos now. Which is really hard to find, BTW. I searched for HOURS on google. Finally found one really, really saweet site for sheet music, pianofiles. Boy, I love that site.
Piano Songs I'm working on:
Ghost Love Score(Nightwish - I can play pages 2-4, and 6-10(the end) but I'm having some difficult on those difficult parts)
Ever Dream (Nightwish - have most of it down, last page or so is buggy)
Coin Operated Boy (The Dresden Dolls - I'm up to the uber-awesome bridge in this one, and it's freaking cool/hard!)
Girl Anachronism(The Dresden Dolls - Just printed out today, because this song is insane. ^_^)
Along with fifty other songs that I put in my 'later' pile. I'm going to print out my two Tori Amos songs, Winter and Silent All These Years, and start work on those. Still trying to find Happy Phantom, though. That one's my ultimate favorite. ^_^
OMIGOSH ALLEN WALKER PLAYS PIANO!? WHY HAVE I NOT HEARD THIS RUMOR BEFORE?! He just won a bajillion cool points with me. Not only is he freaking adorable, a cool character, and all-around awesome, but now he's TALENTED.
Jeez. That kid is gonna kill me before I finish the series. XD
