Stargate Vancouver 2011 random things
Some random thoughts and squee.
1) I was kind of surprised that no one brought up Ferocious Planet or Syn's similarities to John. I guess not everyone has seen it yet.
2) Joe's finger is still bandaged.
3) I am saddened by the lack of any mention of Rachel.
4) Joe is absolutely adorkable when he laughs.
5) Even after telling the mooning story probably dozens of times, Joe still doubles up with laughter when they're talking about it.
6) David really does play up the geek aspect, is a huge drama queen, and loves to be the center of attention (he'd be making really overdramatic faces and things while the other two were talking).
7) Paul seems like such a nice person. I could see he was trying to keep David and Joe on-topic and trying to make sure all the fans got answers to their questions.
8) That said, the dynamic was really different from last year, when it was the Joe&David show.
9) I love knowing that they still keep in touch ♥
10) I really miss my show.
Also, I had a weird dream last night where Joe and David were hotel lounge singers. I think they were on the convention stage, actually, and they were both wearing really tacky velour tuxedos a la Zapp Brannigan, but in black, and with pants.

GDFI - what horrible, slow pacing! I might be biased because I watched it mainly for Joe, but argh! There were so many long dramatic pauses, it's not like the plot's particularly confusing. I can keep up just fine without the breaks.
FP - this I actually kind of liked. It was better than I expected for a SyFy movie. It was entertaining and was low on cringe-worthy lines. I did want to slap all the government people at one point or another though. And poor Rivers! I really thought he was going to make it out ok.
It was a bit weird though, because I felt like I was watching an episode of SGA at times. I know that MOTW aren't too concerned about character development, but it was like they just took John Sheppard and plopped him in their universe.
