So we did the
(Semi) Marathon de Provence Luberon yesterday. It was an interesting course that had quite a bit of off tarmac running and, while it wasn't quite as amazingly well organized as the neighboring Manosque run we did in May, it was a real pleasure to run.
Official results (from the
KMS website) show that I was 64th out of 1102 total finishers and comfortably under the one and a half hour mark that was my goal. It should be noted that the actual race distance turned out to be 20.4km not the 21.1.a half marathon should be but the pace I was at would have done the next 700m in 3-4 minutes so it's not a problem.

I have a slight strain on my right calf but I expect this to pass in a day or 2.
The boss also ran better than before finishing in 1h47. Given the shorter distance this is probably only just a personal best but since she overtrained and hurt her piriformis muscle less than a month ago this is still a good result.
While the goodie bag swag for this race wasn't quite on a par with Manosque every finisher did get a bottle of local wine specially labelled for the event, which is pretty cool.
