So, like apparently everyone else, I have watched X-Men First Class and cool action and entertaining plot aside, it's the bromance between Magneto and Xavier that has an iron grip on my fangirl heart. I loved the movie! I just thought it had everything a good action flick should have, as well as have its story driven by its characters. The friendship between Charles and Erik was moving, and the on-screen chemistry between Fassbender and McAvoy was like fireworks. Both were fantastic and all was good fun --my replay option is in perpetual loop on the soundtrack which offers great pieces that remind me of the "Inception" soundtrack and the other characters -namely Raven and Hank- were great. The training scenes were fun and OMGSATELLITEOFLOVE. *ahem*
So to quell my raging muse I've put together my second fanmix ever depicting the relationship (be it friendship or romance) between Charles and Erik. The music I selected follows a specific order to create a certain atmosphere that starts with a moody yet rhythmic ascention towards the build up of their complex relationship, ranging from a friendly-platonic attraction, then to an erotic, and finally into a loving intimate relationship (considering the obvious interpretation of Xavier's powers as a sexual allegory) that culminates with both choosing different sides and falling apart, both reminiscing and looking back on what could have been.

"Swallowed in the Sea" can literally allude to the scene when both meet with Charles pulling Erik out of the water and it also could be interpreted with him "calming his mind". "You belong with me/Not swallowed in the sea"(...) -> They meet and Charles pulls Erik (albeit momentarily) from the depths of his anger and Erik realizes that "he is not alone".
