So the year is almost over and it is time for my annual list. I hope the following is useful to those looking for new film and music. I took in quite a bit of live music this week. Besides the !!! concert I mentioned earlier, I attended a Alexander Mickelthwate/WSO concert and the Send + Receive Festival.

Yesterday, Chelsea and I saw MSTRKRFT (& Juan Maclean & Lazaros Casanovas). With some previous disinterest, just today I joined last.fm and find that there is something compelling about wishing to have your tastes tracked empirically and then comment on their accuracy. I am eager to hear the weekly recommendations they send my way.
