I am taking a break from reading a rant on how George Bush hates black people to write. Because writing is exciting.
First off, despite spending four hours in South Hadley (aka THE ASSCRACK OF THE WORLD), I've yet to find a volunteer position for my CSL seminar. Which I was supposed to have...two weeks ago. And almost did. Except then I didn't. Because the lady never called me back. And gave me crap directions. Anyhow. Point is, I do not have a position and thus I am A.) Fucked and B.) Pissed off. If I fail this class SOMEONE IS GOING DOWN.
I do, however, start my job with Dr Chris tomorrow. Which means, I spend an hour entering stuff into an Excel spreadsheet. Go me. Single-handedly helping the mentally ill. I find it somewhat annoying that, though all I am doing is spending an hour in a (hidden..well not hidden but not exactly accessible if you're not looking for it) conference room making a spreadsheet, I can't wear jeans or sandals, lest I should fail to give off the appropriate air of "YOU'RE the one with issues, I just work here." Yeah. Ok.
On top of this I still have to find a Confirmation gift for my brother (who the hell knows what he wants. May just get him a Bible. He did not, after all, get ME anything). Also must figure out what, exactly, boys are about as failure to do so has lead to emotional roller-coaster-ing for far longer than is strictly appropriate. (Two months. But then, who's counting?)
On the bright side, did get to talk to Meag today. She is currently my favorite person in the world as I am staying in her apartment (read: for free) when I go to France over winter break. Am very excited about this.
Should you wish to find out more ab out how George W. Bush single-handedly caused Hurrican Katrina (Yes! All by himself! Ain't that somethin'?) so that he could keep down the black man, read "Come Hell or High Water." Because that's what I'll be doing for 71 more pages.
