The last week of January has crept up on me rather, and I suddenly realised that the release of ‘Samiha’s Song’ is just around the corner! Some bookshops will be getting stock in from Harper as soon as this coming week, so keep your eyes peeled, lovely folks… first one to send me a picture of ‘Samiha’ out in the wilds gets a prize!
In order to properly celebrate this momentous event - alright, well, momentous for me - I pestered, badgered and generally stalked some of my author friends until they agreed to participate in a series of guest plog posts here on this journal, starting February 1st. I’m incredibly excited, as the authors who will be contributing to the blog party are not only wonderfully talented writers but quite simply fascinating people to listen to, on any subject. Several hold down parallel careers and are researchers, teachers and med students in their other lives; they all come from different backgrounds, write very differently, and I happen to enjoy all of their work tremendously.
Without further ado, the list of guest bloggers appearing from February 1st on this journal will be, in no particular order: Glenda Larke, Saladin Ahmed, Kaaron Warren, Helen Lowe, Blake Charlton, Kim Falconer, Nicole Murphy, Tim Jones and Gillian Polack. (Click through to the ‘author’ links on the right side of this website to find out more about each one.) There may be one or two more mystery bloggers who join us over the course of the series, so never a dull moment, really.
I can’t wait to hear what they all have to say on the subject of ‘Writing Strong Women’!
The story behind that choice of theme is for another post, however, and I shall reveal more on the subject next week. I see you shiver with… anticipation.
