There is currently a guy sitting across from me at the coffee shop trying to explain Storage Wars to a chick who is apparently an exchange student.
He just got done reassuring her that it's only once a year at the state fair that we have deep-fried Snickers bars.
Oh, college freshmen.
Oh, my country.
Meanwhile, I hear that half the Midwest and some of Texas was declared a disaster area this week because of the drought and projected failure of about a third of the US winter wheat crop. While this certainly may be disastrous, let's not call it a disaster, eh? That makes it sound like an extraordinary occurrence. Let's call it what it is: the new normal.
So, I'm kind of a downer today, yeah?
