After a long hiatus from Suedom...

I'm hoping y'all still take RPG characters-- if not, feel free to remove this.

Normally, I have moral objections to posting submissions to the RP I mod here, but... sometimes...

Meh. Comments are in italics and []
Story Or Series Title: RPG Character, no title
Fandom: Tamora Pierce's Tortallan world
Culprit Author's Name: vivianwolfgandion

Full Name (plus titles if any): Katrina Balvador
Full Species(es): Human
Hair Color (include adjectives): "...waist length pitch-black hair. What would be her bangs if she choose to cut them that way is dyed a deep flame red complementary to her full, red lips."
Eye Color (include adjectives): "Her Raka flavored skin was a startling contrast to her bright blue eyes, standing under thin, expressive brows, that were nonetheless often clouded over." [Her eyebrows?]
Unusual Markings/Colorations: Dyed hair. In a culture based off medieval Europe.
Special Possessions (if any): Her temper. In her own words: "Unknown to most she had a temper to match that of a dragons in force but rather than manifesting itself in flame it survives as hot coals under a layer of ash waiting sometimes years to finally leap out and consume the offender."
Annoying Origin: Bastard rape-born slave child of a slave wench and rich merchant.
Annoying Connections To Canon Characters: None-- the RP rules specifically forbid connections to Canon. Probably the only one she obeyed.
Annoying Special Abilities: Huge quantities of magic, allowing her to heal and protect. And also become invisible. Invisible. ...OMGWTFBBQ?

Able to completely zone out and distance herself from her physical reality, without inhibiting her senses or limiting her ability to defend herself.

Professional fighting skills.

Other Annoying Traits: Vampirism. Without the icky blood sucking.

Please include a small sample of the worst of this story:

Name: Katrina Balvador

Where he/she lives: The woods

Place of Birth: The Copper Isles

Age, Date of Birth: 16, November 23 at 12:00am

Occupation: Odd jobs that she can find along her road. [HER road, mind you. She doesn't take odd jobs she finds along someone else's road.]

Status (noble, rich commoner, peasant, priest, etc): Runaway slave.

Magic: The Gift. She inherited it from her mother. She can do some healing and is very good at spells of invisibility and protection as they have proved very needed throughout her life. [Canon fact: The Gift, especially Healing Gift, is the only way for a peasant to make enough money to work themselves into the upper class. Therefore EVERYONE who has magic gets training. But hey. It's only canon.]

Family: Her mother was Katasa Balvador, a slave in the Copper Isles. Her father was Fergon Guchul, one of the richest merchants in Rajmuat

Appearance: 5’7 with waist length pitch-black hair. What would be her bangs if she choose to cut them that way is dyed a deep flame red complementary to her full, red lips. Her Raka flavored skin was a startling contrast to her bright blue eyes, standing under thin, expressive brows, that were nonetheless often clouded over. [What would be a writing tense is apparently unheard of to this person.] She had always been considered an attractive specimen of female beauty but now, as she matured, she was filling out in the most pleasingly proportional way possible. [Yes. Malnourished, emaciated slaves exposed to hard labor all their lives are well known for their pleasing curves. Especially after living two years on the streets.] She is lithe and agile as well as sturdy enough to face the blows of her ‘clients’.

Clothing: She tends to wear fairly revealing clothing as per her trade though she wears a large and all encompassing cloak whenever life permits. She keeps whatever weapons possible as near as possible at all times.

Personality: She is clever, witty, and sly. She has a fairly secretive manner about her past and is always well guarded against the taunts and cross words of others having had to live with them her whole life. She is very observant and calculating, perceiving the world as an obstacle course that she must beat at all costs. Unknown to most she had a temper to match that of a dragons in force but rather than manifesting itself in flame it survives as hot coals under a layer of ash waiting sometimes years to finally leap out and consume the offender (such as it was in the case of her father). [Metaphor rape... *twitch*]

Strengths: She is very talented at the more quietly lethal weapons such as daggers and small knives [also known as... daggers...]that can be kept in your hair. She is also quite adept at, when put in a nasty situation or having to do something unpleasant, falling into her mind and escaping from the reality of it without loosing the ability to react if attacked of threatened.

Weaknesses: She has always had a fear of day. Though it may seem completely irrational she has kept her existence almost purely to the dark. In the sunlight she feels blinded and vulnerable. If confrontation where to arise during daylight hours she would be unable to react right, feeling muddles and confused and unable to disappear into the shadows. [MOMMY! SHE FELT MY MUDDLE!]

History: Her mother, Katasa Balvador, was a slave in the Copper Isles and was impregnated by her owner. With no break in her work she became very sick 2 monthes before the baby was due and ended up dieing when the child was two-weeks old. Her father, Fergon Guchul, was one of the richest merchants in Rajmuat. When Kat was left motherless he assigned a maid in his house to keep her alive until she was old enough to sell. When Kat turned 6 she was sold to a noble family where she lived for 2 years as a kitchen whelp. [Please, sir. I'd like some more...]After getting a sever burn [Sever burns are always the nastiest kind]on her arm when another kitchen worker pushed her into a pot of boiling water she was sold again to another family who required a laundry girl. After 4 years scrubbing sheets she was dismissed for returning one with a stain on it. Again on the market at 12 she was bought as a plaything for a young lord just coming into his inheritance. At his estates she made friends with his guards selling the only thing she had in trade for weapons training and keys to the armory. [That's right, fellas. Train the brat. It'll be really funny when the little slave takes the weapons you gave her and puts them through her master's gut.] At 14 she murdered her master and escaped into the bowels of Rajmuat. [See. Toldja.] After 3 months she tracked down her father and sent him to the Black God’s domain as well. She then had only two choices; leave the Isles or die. She enticed several guards and was able to stow away on a ship headed for Tortall. By 15 she had made it to the capital city of Corus. She spent a year mostly on the streets selling whatever she could to make enough to eat each day while living in the forest save on the night when she was in someone’s bed.[Wait... I thought she couldn't go out in the daytime, anyway... Oops. Sorry. ] The search for a hot meal to fill her stomach and a flagon of mead to drown her woes brought her to the Inn one night, cold hungry and lonely.

What is your character most ashamed of? Admitting to her fear and weakness.

What makes your character unique? Her odd past and strange relationship to the world. [What makes your character unique? The fact that no one killed her before now.]

Why is your character coming to the Inn? To find a warm meal and cold mead. [Ok, now I'm just being picky. But mead is a beverage served hot.]
