Uh! Uh! Uh! Nick Cave is giving a concert here in a few days!! Which is completely outsold, of course :( My last chance is to win one of the VIP tickets at go tv. Just mailed them - cross your fingers for me, please!! I'd simply LOVE to see him!!

No weight loss in the last two weeks, and I don't know why... Well, it's gonna happen now. Only six or seven pounds till xmas, that's easy. And since I stopped the junk food (I haven't eaten chocolate or pizza since I'm here, virtually no cookies, have eaten at McD exactly ONCE, just bought some gingerbread twice and I do eat some crisps about once a week) I've got an almost completely clean skin! Dunno, maybe it's just a phase and next week I'll be full of spots because of some womanly turn of hormones, but it might be because I've taken responsibility for my body. Oh, that's a stupid phrase *lol*

Watched "National Treasure" on Friday, which was nice. Not extremely thrilling, but nice and a fun movie. And now I know why I never really liked Nick Cage so far: it's his German voice! I really dislike it, and I always kinda transported that feeling onto him. His real voice is cool, so now I like Nick Cage *lol* It's strange, but voices are so important. Best part of the movie is Riley, of course - me loves sidekicks. Liked the father, too. Diane Krüger was better than I thought, but I didn't like the romance thingy - I felt it was forced and just there because it's conventional to have the girl fall in love with the hero.

On Saturday I watched "Girl With A Pearl Earring" - I didn't want to hang out with Tini, and I didn't want to stay at home, and I couldn't think of anything else *lol* And I've been debating with myself about whether or not watching it for weeks, so I just did it in the end. What a beautiful movie! It's gorgeous, and not at all boring as I had feared. Colin is wonderful (as always, of course), and I found myself very impressed by Scarlett Johansson (sp?). So far I never could see anything in her (and was rather annoyed by all the praising), but she is a great actress. I'm very happy to say I have been completely wrong in not liking and underestimating her.

Yesterday was Sissy's birthday (Tini's mother), and I was invited to the family get-together. It was really fun - I had expected the worst, but I had a good time. Stayed there from around 12.30 till six or seven, then went to the xmas fair at the Schönbrunn castle with Tini's brother (don't worry, it was okay, no monkee business), where we met two girls he kinda knew. Hung around with them till the fair closed, which was cool, then drove home with them (they live only a few minutes away from me). Had a cool weekend, after all. Next one will be cool, too - I'll have two new Steve Coogan DVDs to watch (first season of "I'm Alan Partridge" and the movie "24 Hour Party People"), "EoR" is FINALLY out here, and I *hope* I'll get to see Nick Cave :) And the weekend after that will be even better, because persikay will be visiting me *YAY* And then just one more weekend, and then I'll be home for two weekends! Home *sigh* And then... Oh well. The coming weekends are gonna be great ;)
