Broadway Baby!
Soooo....I'm going to NYC today with some of the high school girls in my mentoring group. We're going to see Aida...not sure what that's about really, except that it has Michelle from Destiny's Child in it. Regardless...1) it gets me out of New Haven 2) it gives me a legit excuse not to do work and 3) I get to dress up AND maybe see some hotties for a change.
I had lunch with my friend Tom today....love me some Olive Garden! We talked about the lack of dating potential within the law school and the definite need to branch out. We also talked about marriage...Tom is a believer...and me...well not so much. There was this old couple walking in as we left the restaurant...Tom pointed them out as an example of what marriage can be. While I do in general find old couples adorable, and this couple was no exception, I still can't ever imagine myself staying with one person for the next fifty years. I mean...I'm the girl who gets bored and changes her shoes midday ....and those just go on my feet.
Funny enough...Tom and I also disagree about the idea of soul mates. He doesn't think they exist, whereas I still think it's a possibility that there may be one person out there that we're meant to be with. At this point, I feel like I should have some deep philosophical comment on the matter....but really....I got nothin'.
