My first entry
So here I am....in class...a rare occasion indeed. The weather has been so nice lately...I took all day off yesterday to go for a run and then a drive and then a nap. I am not kidding when I say that I am over 1,000 pages of reading behind in one class. I soo can't wait for this semester to be over. Today I met my summer boss for lunch...we're going to be battling the unjust and arbitrary system that is capital punishment. We talked about me meeting actual death row inmates....very cool but pretty freaky too.
By the way.....can i just talk about how EVERYBODY around me seems to be all squishy in love. Everywhere you look people are hooking up. Totally random really. Ahhh the mating rituals of the ivy league. I'd rather die than go ivy. I'm totally convinced that I simply must be with a good southern boy. Northern boys do not get it...they think they are respecting my personhood by treating me as an equal and not opening doors. I can tell you one thing for sure....they are never gonna get INTO my personhood if they can't learn a little chivalry!!
How is it that my professors seem to start and end each class speaking english, but about five minutes in lapse into swahili. I have no idea what's going on right now. Literally, I'm listening...no idea what he's saying.
Thank god for the "Law in a Nutshell" books!
