So I wish instead

Affirmations. Whether we know it or not, we spend much of our time and energy trying to prove something to someone, to anyone. It's a basic human desire to be accepted-may it be for who we are or who we're not. Whatever the case is, we all seek for approval when it comes to the things we say, do and feel. There always seems to be a keen discernment done by others, which (no matter how we try to help) we can never control.

It's like an audition and all we want to happen is get picked, or waiting in line in hope of getting that free t-shirt. A yes in the end is never definite.

I'm done waiting. I'm done explaining. And I'm done answering to something that's not even asked of me. Affirmations, for the most part, are for the selfish and insecure. A yes in the end is never definite, more so worthwhile and fulfilling.
