I completely applied to my first college today, hoorah! Thank u McGill for making your app so darn simple. I'm just waiting for u to laugh at me for even daring to apply :) .
Didn't do virtually anything today at all, I hate being unproductive although I can honestly say that I cleaned the bathroom and washed the dishes and a few other small things... Better than nothing I guess.
Babysat The Brat (notice shirt) last night when my parents went to see 'Hebrew Hummer'... Yes my parents go to dumb movies too, it's not always weird Ingmar Bergman stuff. (not recommended to most people) Had to sleep with him on the big bed because he tosses around so much that I was paranoid he'd fall off (he started out in his crib but woke up and I had to put him down on the big bed). He almost did once too but I kept waking up every time he turned around. Thank God the rents came back at 2 and not later so I could go back to my own bed and get some sleep. I tried to watch The Perfect Murder before but it's actually a rather scary movie in the middle of the night with the baby monitor making all kinds of scary noises.
So they're building a new WTC building of the sort, the Freedom Tower. Now tell me the logic behind this - they decided to build something safer and less prone to attacks than the Twin Towers were. Fine, understood, makes sense. What I don't understand is the logic behind building something way bigger than the original + it being the world's tallest tower. If that's not terrorist bait then I don't know what is. And of course, it's pretty cool looking, but somehow I like the older and more historial aspects of the City better so I dunno, I don't really like it becoming all modern and sci-fi age. Either way it'll be an interesting addition.
Carly sent me a Christmas present! I love it! It's grand, simply grand. It's a Canadian keychain with my name and a moose AAAAAAAAND a book, M is for Maple, the Canadian Alphabet. Now if anyone ownes it, please go to 'U' and see what it says and then see why it is that I'm meant to be in Canadia. Wow, I'm super behind on some cards and presents, I need to catch up like crazy. Appologizes to all who get things after Christmas. Consider it a New Year's thing instead?
I'm sleepy, been horribly sleepy since Friday. I don't have any particular reason to be but I am. Thank God I don't have any more US history outlines to do or else I'd cry. A lot.
I want new music. I really need some new CDs. Dare I hope my parents have an idea? I'm also sorta hoping for some $. Selfish, I know, but would really benefit others when their bdays and such come around and I won't need to ask my parents anymore either. Actually, when Maria turns 16 (that would be Xmas Eve) we're gonna go around and see if anyone's hiring because I need a job so very much.
Oh oh and, the Olsen Twins are apparently going to NYU. Too bad really because with their money and considering how famous they are they could do a lot A LOT better. And early decision too? It's really not half as great a school as it used to be. Or as it's known to be.
Jo Sims is probably gonna be prog director this summer! Yay! How cool is that? Also, how weird is that? But good weird. I was just always so intimidated by lodge people but I can't be intimidated by Jo! She's too nice, and so quiet! She'll be really good at it though because a lot of people are coming back and she knows them so she'll know who to pair up and who works best with whom, etc etc. The sucky thing - I'll feel bad pranking. I dunno, I don't actually do that many pranks at all and they're always really harmless (they really are!)... I just hope it doesn't make her yell at us... Anna-Lisse yelled at us... It wasn't fun. A prank/4 weeks maybe? We'll see, maybe not.
