JUNNO'S INJURY
MINNA!! HISASHIBURI!!!! MY WORK FINALLY DONE!!! AFTER LIKE ALMOST 2 WEEKS OF HIATUS??? Although for a short period but now I'm free hehehehehehe maa..maa let's get to the topic ne~ I've been curious about Junno's injuries about what actually happen and I'm sure some of you were too ne~ I've done a little digging weeks ago but I've never had the chance to post it~ So I'm posting it now! Let's get into details~
So you guys know about the famous Taguchi-injury back in 2004 right? What happens really?
Junno injured his leg while doing a back flip during one of the 2004 Dream Boys rehearsal. He landed wrongly and hurt his right leg where he damaged his femur and knee cartilage. But the injury isn’t that bad at that point, it’s Junno who think that he can still go on with the stage play and push himself on the injured leg without knowing how serious the injury is until one day his leg couldn’t take the pressure anymore and collapse on him. That was in the middle of Dream Boys many show aka he was forced to quit Dream Boys halfway before all the show can be finished. After that he had to immediately undergo his first of many surgeries on February 13. I bet some of you did know that he had to have multiple surgeries to fix his leg?
The surgery is for Femoral Shaft Fractures and Meniscus Tear and Torn Knee Cartilage where he experienced pain and swelling around the knee joint. The first surgery is to fix his broken femur (In junno's case he has fractured his thigh's femur which connected to the hip joint which if it is failed to heal will cost one's ability to walk) and in order to do that the doctors need to insert a plate… and that was the second surgery… yikes > < the third surgery is to mend his torn knee aka meniscus tear. Now the meniscus tear have two types one is the minor one which you can mend it by quickly putting ice on the knee to reduce the swelling. Another type is the one which needed surgery and this is the one that Junno suffered from. The surgery has two types, one is Meniscus Repair and another one is Meniscectomy. I don’t know which type of surgery Junno needed though.
But after this surgery Junno need to be on crutches for at least three weeks and to ensure full recovery he needs to take on comprehensive rehabilitation program which generally for normal people who only needs to recover just to walk again they just need three to four months of rehab but for Junno who is an acrobat he needs about six to eight months of rehab before he can be back on his feet again. So he was hospitalized for 6 months after surgery and proceeds with the rehab. The last 2 month of his rehab he started to do small job with KAT-TUN like magazine interview.
I remember reading a magazine translation where Junno was answering the interviewer’s question and he said currently Koki is playing with his crutches and just now he saw Nakamaru playing with it hahaha. Ended up at the end of the interview everyone is playing with the crutches and now it’s missing XD can someone point me where to read this interview again? I miss reading it and would like to read it again for the sake of the cuteness XD the last time I found it is during my stalking 2-3 years back? O_o and another one about his crutches is where the interviewer asked if a fan ask you to give her something what would you give? Or something like that and Jin said why don’t you give your crutches XD Junno said impossible! Because he borrowed the crutches from the hospital so he need to return it back huhu~
Anyway so Junno is back on Shounen Club stage with KAT-TUN on 6th June 2004 marking his official come back from his “hiatus” but he still can’t dance so he had to stay backstage until. However by the time the Summary start in August he is back 100% with acrobatic moves and all, surprising all the KAT-TUN members. But the speed recovery have it it’s consequences as he suffered again from the Meniscus Tear but luckily this time it’s minor and Junno didn’t take it lightly anymore that’s why you can see him nursing his “tired leg” during the Summary backstage.
Trivia:
During his stay at the hospital he lost 12kg
Koki brought him a bundle of banana saying that it will helps him get his nutrition back XD
Ueda brought him an action figure of Bulma from Dragon Boys
Kame brought him “Otoko” magazine >///<
During his hiatus although he still can’t work at that time and felt lonely so kame ask him to go to Osaka where KAT-TUN is having concert and since he wasn’t part of the work there’s no room prepared for him so he stayed in Kame’s room claiming Kame allow him to be his wife (meaning allow him to spend the night un wakaru?) XD which kame gave him a =___=” face huuu~
After Junno was dismissed from hospital KAT-TUN mostly Koki tried hard not to beat up or whacks Junno when he start cracking jokes because he's still sensitive over the I-think-everyone-hate-me thoughts he acquire during his stay at hospital. So they try to laugh even though it's annoying.
