So as some of you may know, I found out that I got into UC Berkeley today. Also, I got a $12,000 scholarship to UC Santa Barbara. And I got into UC San Diego, but that's not really important. This is all exciting news, but it puts me in a very difficult position

i love berkley, if you can tolerate the liberals you should definitely go there. its beautiful and quaint and the weather is glorious and it smells so goood. oh my god.

my great uncle's a physics professor there, but i guess you wont be running into him :)

UCSB's film department, at least when I was applying as a freshman in 2002 for the 2003-2004 school year, was only focused on theory and history. This may have changed since then. CSUN apparently has a great film program, infinitely better than UCSB's or UCB's

i love the social social life there, too. my brother and boyfriend are up there, and so i've experienced it in comparison to UCSD (which is where i go now... i think you knew that). they're nothing a like, don't worry.

UCSB. YOU HAVE TO. it's amazing there. i spent a bit of time there with my ex because his sister goes there and it's wonderful. beautiful scenery, teenagers EVERYWHERE. all of isla vista is prowling with teenagers. it's like funland. and you'd get to drive home every other weekend or so to be with the band. it's hardly an hour and a half if you're lucky. it's your best choice i'm telling you!
