I have been steeping a pint of basil leaves in olive oil for a month. Last night I made mayo with it.

I'm just gonna tell you that you WANT a tomato sandwich with some of that on it.

It was one egg yolk, juice of half a lemon and a cup of basil olive oil.

I swear I will never buy mayo from the grocery again.

When I made mushroom quiche last weekend, the finished product was little wet. It was cooked through, but there was extra water present. granted that could have been from the double Gloucester cheese, I used, but I was a little concerned that I hadn't cooked enough water out of the mushrooms ( Read more... )
