Freedom!
Yay! The Psychoanalysis paper is in (really, really crappy, but in)! The semester is over! Just one more class to go until coursework is finished! At this point, I'm thinking screw the Women's Studies certificate I was going to take. It may make me more employable, but it would require two classes in that department and, just in case you missed it the first time, let me repeat:
One more class to go until I'm done with coursework forever!
Phew - now that that's out of my system... All ready to get on to my summer plans, which currently consist of 1.) finish grading papers for my 1102 classes, 2.) revise two (maybe three) papers to try for publication, 3.) get something ready to propose for the SCMS conference in Tokyo next year (and hope to holy heaven it somehow is miraculously accepted), 4.) complete my independent study, 5.) finish reviewing Robot Ghosts and Wired Dreams for ImageText, 6.) do some formatting for ImageText, 7.) start planning next year's comics conference and get the CFP out post haste, and 8.) sit in on some Japanese courses if I don't manage to pick up a couple of classes to teach.
Wow - it didn't look so bad in my head, but it's a bit daunting now that I see it on paper. Anyhow, I still can't wait! Now I get to do the really fun stuff!
