The box with no name

Mar 14, 2008 17:18

I asked a pharmacist to find a hub for me.

Me: "It's a box about the size of a paperback book near your main computer"

She found this reasonably easily (Less then ten minutes)

Me: "What name is written on the box?"
Pharmacist: "I don't understand"

I clarified.
Me: I mean what 'words' are written on it.
confused Pharmacist: "whu?"

Me: "A name? words? like you get on a label?"

Pharmacist (Blank): "Nope"

Me: Is ANYTHING written on that box?"

Pharmacist: "Nope"

I then asked her to look around for another box and she found one. This was a power supply, so wrong one.

Back to the box with no name

Me: "Are you sure there is nothing at all written on it?"

Pharmacist: "Nope. Just numbers and Belkin"

*blink*

Me: "Belkin?"

Pharmacist: "Yes"

Me: "Can you help me out here. Just for my information, to help with other calls?"

Pharmacist: "Sure"

Me: "Why is it that when I asked if anything was written on it you didn't see the Blekin name written on it?"

Pharmacist: "Oh you meant that? If you have said what BRAND it is, I'd have understood

Me: Thank you

*Arranges to go back in time and slap her parents*

After a 50 minutes on this call to get her laptop working on a network we finally agreed we could not get the dam thing working and I would get an engineer out.

3 minutes after putting phone down I was calling an engineer out and she called back to say all was okay.

I'm not calling her back to see what happened!
