I'm uncharacteristically saddened by Kurt Vonnegut's death. I feel like such an intellectual for the solemn, poetic ache in my otherwise jaded heart. And then I remember that I found out through a web comic, and that erases any previous feelings of smugness

You're the third of my friend's listers to mention the event. I've never read any of his stuff, nor have I been inclined to. But I did read Candide in high school. When did I miss out on being a cool indie kid along the line? Probably when I was being a cool punk/goth kid...ha.

Haha wow how cliche am I? *blush* I didn't hear his name 'til freshman year or uni, but I will admit it's a mark of indie hipness to hear someone mention his name. Good stuff, promise. If you get off on dry humor absurdities.
