I'm uncharacteristically saddened by Kurt Vonnegut's death. I feel like such an intellectual for the solemn, poetic ache in my otherwise jaded heart. And then I remember that I found out through a web comic, and that erases any previous feelings of smugness.
In any case, I shall honor his memory by continuing to read the book that inspired him --
Voltaire's "Candide" -- and urge you to do the same. Unless, you know, you'd rather do so by reading Vonnegut.
