Rrrrrar: Ahs Alive & Well in Russia
Quickly, to confirm I have not been mugged or kidnapped in mother Russia...in the past week, among other things, I have:
-Survived a 25-hour train ride without a yawn
-Barely escaped a Russian-style side-swipe
-Haven't slept for more than 5 hours at a time, save for one night
-Cried a river. Then cried some more
-Drank beer with the kids, vodka with the adults
-Met my guardian angel
-Saw a dead corpse, then a live bear, all within about 30 feet
-Heard a sailboat's worth of swear words
-Figured out the St Petesburg metro thankyouverymuch
-Learned lessons in family bonds
Arriving back in Kiev Thursday night (originally tomorrow night). Love & miss you all. Just please don't make me leave yet.
