It was about time Cassie talked to the Wasp about the tracking device that would be installed in whatever new suit she had. And gauge just how much she hated Iron Lad (because of course that's why they were going to put it in there

"Oh, sweetie...no." Janet shook her head, the razor-cut edges of her brunette bob, her expression adamant. "I know I gave you carte blanche to come up with some names for colors, but this name? This name isn't happening. Ever."
Janet's assistant, Adair, set her lips in a thin line. It wasn't that hard to do, considering the fact that Adair's lips had thinned out so much already due to the fact that she was quite the regular smoker. "Is there any other way that you would describe that color?"
"Petal pink? It's better than Pussy Pink. It's just....wrong on so many levels."
"But the pink...it just screams Hello Kitty!"
"How about Kitty Pink?"
"No, no, I'm a big alliteration fan."
"Yes. Well, your name is Adair Adams." Janet said. "Look, sweetie...I'll keep this color on hold for you until you come up with a name for it. But...can we please choose a name that's less...you know." Janet smiled softly. "We have an image to uphold, sweetheart

Janet looked up from the papers, her eyes brightening. "Cassie, honey, hi!" The diminutive brunette stood up and grinned widely. "Come on in. And please, call me Jan. Or Aunt Jan. Whichever one is more comfortable for you." She cleared the papers off her desk and motioned for the younger woman to come in. "Can I offer you a drink or something?"
"I don't really know what I want it to look like but my dad and Uncle Tony want to put a tracker in my suit and they want you to well, be in charge of it." Please don't make her spell out why she needs one in the first place.
"I see..." Janet said. She leaned back in her chair and studied Cassie. Poor thing. This can't possibly be an easy conversation for her to be having. "I've learned that when it comes to fathers and daughters, the fathers tend to dislike the boy their daughter is seeing, unless he's chosen the match for his daughter," Janet said. "I'm sorry about that, but if you need someone to talk to about it - and other woman-issues - my doors open to you. Always." She smiled warmly at Cassie. "As for the suit...we can go over designs and we can have Tony or Scott put in the tracker. As for keeping an eye on you via the tracker...how do you feel about me doing that, Cassie? Or anyone doing it? I know it must seem like an invasion of privacy to you."
So... she wasn't about to go off on her choice of a boyfriend? This might not be so bad after all.
"Well, I don't mind if it's used in case I go missing and might be in mortal peril or something, but if it's just so my dad can find my boyfriend and throw him out a window again then I really don't like it."
She wasn't yet. That could change anytime. It all depends on how things play out, really. Janet tries as hard as she can not to be the preachy one, but to be the open-hearted, compassionate one. After all, every team needs one person who's wholly approachable and trust-worthy. "Well, tell you what. I'll keep an eye on you via the tracker, and unless it's an emergency, or unless it's something that I think is wholly inappropriate...it just stays between you and me."
Cassie smiled in relief. "That'd be great. Thanks." Now she had to work out how to explain to Nate that she still had a tracker in her suit and she'd be all set. Wait...
"Uh, define wholly inappropriate?" The tracker couldn't tell her that, right?
Which is when her white pizza with mushrooms, spinach, and roasted red peppers arrived. Janet smiled and took it from one of the many other assistants at the studio and set it down on her desk. "Help yourself," she said to Cassie. "Look, sweetie, I promise that I'll try not to be invasive. But, you know, I have to respect your father too. That being said...he doesn't need to know everything."
Janet's assistant, Adair, set her lips in a thin line. It wasn't that hard to do, considering the fact that Adair's lips had thinned out so much already due to the fact that she was quite the regular smoker. "Is there any other way that you would describe that color?"

Cassie had no idea what all that was about, she'd only caught the tail end of it, but she hoped she'd have better luck talking to Jan.
"Ms. Van Dyne- or is is Mrs. Pym? Aunt Jan?" She should have decided which one to go with before, damn it.
