The issue really was terribly complicated. It was a different world from when the X-Men had first been formed, when they were the "Strangest Teens of All." And they'd had training. Lots of it. Practically boot-camp training. Training that many students were still benefiting from.
By the same token, such legislation years ago would have denied the world the likes of Spider-Man and many others.

He could understand where people were coming from on the subject, but no. No new Underaged Hero Act. Not after what happened with the first one. No no no no.
Maybe he'd talk to the team about keeping an eye out for this 'Stinger' girl. Couldn't hurt, especially with the Gray Goblin still running around. Come to think of it, he still hadn't met that Cloud 9 girl that Kate had mentioned. They probably ought to see if she wanted to join in the training sessions too, if she was still doing the hero thing.
