Despite all that has gone on before, when Galactus calls, the Surfer still answers. He would not do so were it anything less than absolutely critical on a vast scale. Combined with the premonitions he had when he permitted himself sleep, Norrin is especially hasty in his answer.
He appears in a flash of silvery light. "What do you know of what comes?" Right down to business.
The Proemial Gods Aegis and Tenebrous survey the vast expanse with disdain.
"There must be a reckoning for such disaster."
It seems the herald of the former Galen may not need to seek out his quarry - for these dark deities are unsettled by the catastrophic lack of order imposed on this universe.
The frustration of their imprisonment for countless eons, lest they could have prevented such negligence.
They do not serve vengeance, so base a concept. They serve cosmic consonance.
Summoning the Devourer is not something one forgets. Something he wishes he could, sometimes, but nonetheless...
There's little time to wait, given the occurence, and what these beings intend. Despite the power levels involved, the Surfer calls on Galactus once he locates his quarry, and then rushes forward, trying to analyze the pair as he goes.
Capitalizing on that last outburst, which likely expended much of Aegis' remaining energy, The Air Walker leads another charge, as the heralds all concentrate their powers on the back of Aegis' head, much like she did by waylaying Galactus himself from behind.
Stardust, newest of the Heralds and deeply devoted to Galactus, streaks around to charge, staff first, into Aegis' eye. Furious at what has transpired and willing to sacrifice himself to bring her down.
Aegis makes no sound as her head is torn asunder. An immediate implosion occurs, wherein her entire form draws inward, the soul of sorrows, with an amazing force, drawing the other heralds helplessly near, before a heretofore unheard of level of universal power erupts from where she once appeared.
The aftermath is silent space, shattered bodies and nothingness.

"Galactus is of the living universe, herald. There is little Galactus does not know."

"Of course." He replies, waiting for Galactus to fill him in on the relevant details, as the world eater sees them.

As Galactus was the hand that slew Diableri, so shall Galactus be the hand to slay Tenebrous and Aegis.
Cosmic consonance will be preserved.

The first strike belongs to Aegis, She of All Sorrows, unleashing vast cosmic energies directly into the visage of her enemy.
Tenebrous of the Black erupts with power, augmenting and complementing that of his companion.
"Cosmic consonance cannot be left to random events! You have failed in your task, Devourer!"
