For once the Danger Room didn't seem all that Dangerous. It was decked out in decorations, both large and small, dedicated to the holiday that was Valentine's Day. Hearts and cupids were everywhere, including some holographic ones that were floating in the air

"You and your boundless optimism," Teddy teased, shaking his head. He was feeling cautiously optimistic about this. Getting everyone out of their rooms and into some other place where they could relax and act like kids could only help, right?

The floating holographic cupids were a little disconcerting, though.

Provided that you and your friend refrain from your usual level of boyish stupidity, spoke an eerily similar, but only slightly different voice followed.

Teddy blinked and looked around. "Did I suddenly fall asleep?" he asked.

There was a laughter in his head, and their voices rang through his skull in a manner almost lyrical.

It's not very difficult.

The girls didn't appear to flinch, blood seemingly made of pure ice water.

Now that he was pushing, he would feel what was at the top of his mind being gently forced back, like he was hitting a slowly dropping ceiling.

We've already quieted your friends.

It was not a difficult task.

And we will finish quieting you.

Which is also not a difficult task.

We would warn you that resisting would only result in you harming yourself.

But we fear that would only cause you to resist more.

Fortunately we have no desire to harm you.

Teddy really didn't like the expressions cycling over Danny's face. They'd come here for something silly and fun, but Danny clearly wasn't having fun. Danny was scared.

Goddamnit, they were supposed to be safe here.

It was pretty easy to find Danny's psychics, what with the five identical girls with the glowing eyes staring at him. Teddy stepped between them and Danny, in case they needed line of sight, and started walking towards them.

"Excuse me ladies, may I have a word?"

Billy had taken care to dress up and look good. Partially because it had really been a while since he'd had the chance to get polished looking when he wanted to (ie. for time with his friends, not an aunt's boring dinner party). Partially because of the rivalry that wasn't really a rivalry with the other team. Partially because he wanted Teddy to notice.

He'd slipped off to find the bathroom, and came back to...this. Creepily identical girls who were obviously doing something to make Danny profoundly uncomfortable, if Danny's expressions and Teddy stepping between him and the girls was any indication.

Approaching, he stood beside Teddy, in between Danny and the girls.
