Singing the Blues on National TV
(Takes place before the Doombots around the time of the SHIELD/Runaways scene.)
The show is going on. Simon is on complete auto-pilot and his delivery isn't any more or less off than people expect. It's a backslide and he knows it, but at least he's not...thinking...at all...about W-
Next scene.
He's on with the musical guest - Paul Simon and someone had the idea to combined "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover," and a scene from the Blues Brothers. This would be the one where Carrie Fisher corners the brothers and starts trying to kill them both for crimes against their relationship. He's glad the whispered jokes are the type that flip Paul Simon shit about the sketch and his former marriage to Princess Leia.
Mostly. He's been solicited twice - a producer and one of the cast members. Both of them heard he's good for fling. He'd like to, but for whatever reason the soldiers aren't mustering. You know damn well why. This is likely why he gets the Jake part while he takes Elwood. He's bigger, it spares Paul some idiocy, and, well, he's the bigger guy.
But that's thinking. Back to the Blues.
