Creative persons are whiny
Thing is. Thing is! Well, I don't feel like I have the energy to participate in any writing challenges. Or, I don't feel like writing all that much, at the moment, apart from short stuff, like comment fic. But I still want to participate in stuff.
And here is my dilemma. The only other skill I have is music, sound production and sound art. And I'm not saying that's bad. Not at all. It's just... it's not a very marketable skill, is it? I write modern music, stuff that's sometimes difficult to understand. And well, not to, like sound all stuck up (well, yes, a bit like that), but it takes far longer to write even a short piece of music compared to writing a fic. For me at least. Mostly it's because I'm a professional composer, if by professional you mean, have had pieces performed publicly, and have had people pay me to write music. Which, yeah. I want the stuff I do to be good. But I still think it would be fun to participate in fandom more as a sound artist than as a writer. I just... don't really know how to work it.

(I'm also poking people who host various challenges and making them decide on whether sound art counts as art. because rulings about sound usually talks fanmixes and... well.... if someone compared my work to a fanmix I might have to kill someone)
ETA: you know what I need? A sound icon. Maybe with my flute and my piano on. If I finish my college application this week end I might try to make one...
