Knock on wood
I know that a lot of people have just finished a very, very difficult year, and for you I hope that 2008 will be better.
Speaking personally, I just finished one of the best calendar years I’ve had in a while. It’s not like I won the lottery or anything - I’ve just been, well, pretty happy* recently. My major hope for the year ahead is to Not. Jinx. Anything.

* I had “happy” and then I thought using that word would jinx something, so I changed it to “content.” And then I thought, fuck it, say “happy”! Hooray for tiny victories.
