I'm waiting for input on my query letter from two people who're really great and really slow. It's not a criticism, per say, it's just the truth. They both have a lot going on, they never expect me to give input fast, and it's not like they promised me to have it back within a set date. for the 2011 QWF mentorship, and I did not make the cut. Pretty bummed, but at least my fever keeps my reaction to a minimum. Oh, and I made the short list for fiction. So that's good.

It means it's full steam ahead for the new novel though. Horror ftw.

Thank you all for the input! I decided to take your advice and go write 1. the story that most wanted to be written and 2. use it to get in touch with the Montreal publisher. If I get the mentorship (fingers crossed) I'll take a break from this to write the story I handed in to them, but so far, so good. It's fun writing in first person ( Read more... )
