:/

Doesn't bother me too much... still, I'd like to minimize that number.

Our teacher was talking about all the bad stuff that is in food now-a-days and how advertising and other gimmicks try to grab our attention so that we may purchase these things. And I couldn't ( Read more... )

Valid points. Sucks that there are so many middle men in a company that'll twist a product so that not even the big man in charge knows what he's putting out there. I could see that... but for those who know exACTly what's goin' in their product... shame on them (which is kind of why I want to leave the cafe I work at... it's somehow working against my morals lol).

I eat it cuz it tastes good. That's a big draw. I mean, healthy things might make me feel good mentally, but what's the point in living if you can't enjoy things, at least a little bit. I think our problem is that we've forgotten the meaning of a little bit. That and we minimize it. It's easy to justify each mistake and we don't look at them altogether very often. If we did, we'd probably go "Oh crap." For instance, I can totally justify that cupcake I ate as well-deserved after a hard day of work. And the Fettucini Alfredo I ate for dinner as enjoying a night out at a restaurant. And the huge cookie because my friend bought it for me and I didn't want to be rude. But when I look at them altogether, I go "Oh crap." Thankfully, I have not done that in a while. Just today... Boo. But not those exact things. Other yummy goodies. Well worth it, once in a while.
