Dexter
I had heard briefly about the Showtime series Dexter when it first came out last year, but not willing to pay the extra fee to my cable provider to get Showtime, I figured I would never see it and so forgot about it. The plot sounded interesting, however, about a serial killer killing other serial killers.
So much to my pleased surprise, I was at my local DVD rental store last week and happened to see they had Season 1, and so I promptly rented it!
The writing is excellent, and with all 12 shows of the first season interrelated it seems in some ways like a long movie, with breaks in between! ;)
I guess we can relate to Dexter because in some ways we all feel like no one can every really get to know us totally, and we all have private secrets that perhaps we never share with anyone. And Dexter's dry sense of humor is a nice counterpoint to the scary parts! :)
Ah well, a year until Season 2 is released! But at least there is a Season 2 to look forward to! ;)
